Quote:

DALLAS, April 8 (Ticker) -- Dirk Nowitzki and the Dallas Mavericks had scored at least 118 points in each of their previous six games. The Utah Jazz prevented the streak from reaching seven, but it did not matter. Nowitzki scored 27 points as the Mavericks extended their winning streak to six games and dealt a blow to the Jazz's playoff push with a 117-94 triumph. Antawn Jamison added 25 points for Dallas (50-28), which moved into a tie with Memphis for fifth place in the Western Conference. The Mavericks had six players reach double figures and shot 53 percent (41-of-77) in improving its NBA-best home mark to 35-5. Raja Bell scored 18 points and fellow reserve Maurice Williams added 17 for the Jazz (41-38), who slipped one-half game behind Denver and Portland (41-37) for the final playoff berth in the West.
Id just like to add Dallas has the best home record in the league . We are tied with Memphis for 5th place. Due to Memphis holding the tie breaker if the playoffs started today we would be seeded #6 Recap | Boxscore Please go to NBA.com For all NBA game results.
San Antonio is 4th, they have somethin like 3 full games on both of these teams. If the Lakers stay in the 3rd spot, i hope LA beats Memphis which would mean Dallas moves into 5th and would most likely play SA in the first round. I know Dallas can beat SA and Sactown, Lakers will give anyone trouble, and the Wolves would be a tough series also.
Any team will struggle beat Dallas when they're scoring like that. They basically won the game at the end of the 1st quarter. Raja Bell seems to always play big against the Mavs, it didn't matter this time though. Dallas are peaking just before playoff time, they will be a team no one wants to draw in the first round.
IF Dallas gets Sac-town in the first round don't be surprised if they eliminate the Kings in a 7game series...
Another reason why Bill Walton should die a slow, painful death : Yesterday, during the Sacramento - PHX game, he said, and i quote, "Sacramento, Dallas, and Houston" are the teams in the West that have no momentum. He must be an idiot, since Dallas has won 6 in a row and moved back into the 5th spot in the West. But yeah Bill, they have no momentum.
people under estimate the MAvs even with NAsh and Finley aging Nowitzki hasnt even hit his prime. Hes only 24!
