Sixers Trade: AI Blazers Trade: Abdur-Rahim 1st rd pick Trade AI to Portland for Shareef and the 1st. This is great for both teams. Portland has two first rounders and can afford to give up one. The get rid of the logjam at PF and clear the way for Randolph to be the future and not have any controversy. AI going to Portland wouldn't ruin Nash's plan because Cheeks is the coach. Not even going to go into the background, because if you all follow basketball you know AI likes Cheeks and would want to play for him. If they are going to clean up the bad-boy image then Stoudamire and Patterson have to go as well. Sure they have changed somewhat, but without a doubt AI could change if he is playing for a coach he likes (Cheeks) and is surrounded by talent (which Portland has alot of.) I don't think it's that fair to say that 'Reef brings losing with him. The situations he was in on the Hawks and the Grizzlies weren't good at all. The Grizzlies had little talent, and the Hawks had such bad chemistry with Robinson screwing it all up and the coaching issue, he never really was given a chance. Yes, he isn't a super-star player. I am not saying he can carry a team, but he can be an all-star. The Sixers have a future in Dalembert, Green, and Thomas and whoever they draft (Jameer would be perfect). Bringing in Rahim would allow KT to move back to SF and give a very good lineup. C-Dalembert PF-Rahim SF-KT SG-Green PG-Snow/Nelson
I don't like, yea KT can play SF, but he's like Rasheed and Rahim, they aren't near as effective at the small forward spot.
Here's an idea, that would play off your suggestions and for all three trades it should work salary wise: 76ers trade Allen Iverson and Aaron McKie and aquire Shareef Abdur-Rahim and Derek Anderson from Portland Obviously having two high caliber players at the same postion isn't ideal, that's the situation Portland has found itself in. So they could trade Rahim for Iverson, which would highly benefit Portland's starting lineup. 76ers could also move a player who's salary they have no interest in paying in Aaron McKie and aquire a better talent in Derek Anderson. 76ers trade Kenny Thomas, Glenn Robinson, and 1st round selection for Antawn Jamison, Josh Howard, and Tariq Abdul-Wahad from Dallas Dallas needs a bigman who can rebound and play in the inside, Kenny Thomas could be that guy. Dallas is also finding themselves in a cap situation, so aquiring Glenn Robinson's contract would benefit them because it expires after next season. Dallas gets their bigmen (Thomas), cuts back on salary, receives a player who can give them close to the production Jamison was off the bench (Robinson), and receive a 1st round selection. 76ers trade Derek Coleman and Eric Snow for Derek Fisher and Devean George from The Lakers The Lakers would aquire another bigmen for their bench, something they will likely need with Grant likely to be retiring and Slava being a free agent. They also would receive a point guard that doesn't demand the kind of minutes that Fisher does, thus Gary Payton would put an end to his complaints about playing time. Now think about this, here would be The 76ers starting lineup for next season if these trades went down: PG: Derek Fisher (backup: Wille Green) SG: Derek Anderson (backup: Josh Howard) SF: Antawn Jamison (backup: Devean George) PF: Shareef Abdur-Rahim (backup: Kyle Korver) C: Samuel Dalembert (backup: Marc Jackson) This team would be great in the low post, they would also have a great 2-3 zone defense because of their size in the front court. They would have a nice mix of veteran players and prospects, and also a nice mix of outside shooting and inside play. Most importantly they would become a much deeper team from one through ten, which could prove successful like we've seen from Memphis.

DA is not going to Phily because of Aaron Mckie, no way, they are similar player except DA is younger, better 3pointer, can dunk, can steal, and he is a good person(he is one of the few good image blazers), plus he is soooooo much cooler than Aaron Mckie. Why the Blazers like you said will take Aaron' bad contract...NO...this only benifits Phily
well AI in a blue and white orlando jersey?? wont look good on him, it is a good idea, but i doubt it, the magic are waiting for Grant Hill and for Juwan Howard it all depends on wherethe they can get Okakfor or not. Hey i like Drew Dooden way better than Juan Howard(i throw up everytime i watch how Juan shots the ball)
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting TMac_OwNz:</div><div class="quote_post">Sixers trade AI Orlando trades Juwan Howard , Grant Hill , 2nd Round pick.</div> AI Together with T-Mac... You're looking for troubles... Drew Gooden would NEVER touch a ball...
I don't think the AI for Rahim trade would work. In Portland, they're trying to build that franchise around Zach Randolph, and, by bringing in AI, that would mess it all up. Randolphs touches would go down and everything. AI would mess up everything that they're trying to do down there. So, I don't think it'd work.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting ThaLord:</div><div class="quote_post">AI Together with T-Mac... You're looking for troubles... Drew Gooden would NEVER touch a ball...</div> Exactly, and that better be all that's on Orlando's mind this offseason. MORE TOUCHES FOR THE BIG DRIZZLE!!!
I believe Allen Iverson should stay in Philadelphia. As well as Eric Snow, Glenn Robinson and the whole roster in matter of fact. Except for Hamilton and McCaskil. The Sixers need a coach. Plain and simple. If you look at this season roster and last season roster. This season roster is obviously better. But despite the injuries they should have win more games. But like I said this roster is just as good as last year's. The only reason why the Sixeres had such a horrible season is because we have no coach. WHO THE HELL IS RANDY AYERS?! If we can get a decent coach like Jim O' Brien, Byron Scott or Mo Cheeks. I think the Sixers can win at least 50 games next season. They were just 2 games back for the best record in the East last season. I think it was 48 wins. Which is not that bad. So I think the probelm to their lack of sucess is because we have no coach. And the injuries obviously played a part.

But as it was stated before in this thread Iverson would just screw up Randolphs developement by taking all of his shots away. I don't think the Blazers would ever do that trade, if they were to get rid of Abdur-rahim they would get a different player other than Iverson. Also Portland is looking to let go of their jail bird, selfish player image and bringing in Iverson would just screw that up too. Trade 2 would never happen unless the Mavericks have suddenly lost all common sense. 76ers trade Kenny Thomas, Glenn Robinson, and 1st round selection for Antawn Jamison, Josh Howard, and Tariq Abdul-Wahad from Dallas is horrible for Dallas. They have a rookie stud in Howard and a candidate for the sixth man award in Jamison. Traded for Glenn Robinson who can't even bend over to tie his shoelaces without getting hurt and Kenny Thomas a semi-decent power foward? This trade scenario would be laughed at. The third trade (76ers trade Derek Coleman and Eric Snow for Derek Fisher and Devean George from The Lakers ) seems like it would be okay for both sides. The Lakers acquire an excellent point guard in Snow and Philly makes up the difference in getting the young Devean George. The only thing that keeps this from happening is salaries. I don't know the numbers but Coleman and Snow should have significantly higher salaries than George or Fisher so something else would have to be worked out.
