The Timberwolves (55-24) leapfrogged Sacramento (54-24) for first place in the West with a 94-86 victory over the Kings on Thursday in which they rallied from an 11-point third-quarter deficit.

Sam Cassell scored 29 points and Kevin Garnett added 24 and 17 rebounds for Minnesota, which won its sixth straight game. Garnett broke his own team record by posting his 69th double-double.

The Warriors had won back-to-back games before losing at Portland on Wednesday, 87-81.

Clifford Robinson scored 23 points for Golden State, which rallied from a 13-point deficit to take a brief fourth-quarter lead before getting outplayed down the stretch. </div>

    My prediction:
The Wolves should have no problem winning this game. With Dampier out,KG and Olowokandi should dominate in the post. I predict that Minnesota wins by 11.

This should be a good one. Golden State has played great against us this year, and they lead the series 2-1 as of right now. We need this win to remain at the top, and hopefully stay there. Let's hope that the momentum from last night carried on to us for tonight. The key for this one is get everyone involved. Everyone on this team is capable of scoring, and with Wally playing great off the bench, the Warriors will have trouble matching up. I see a Wolves win in this one, by at least 4.

The big thing about tonight's game is energy. Hopefully the wolves didnt use all of energy in the win vs the Kings. The wolves need to jump on this team earlier, if they do I dont think the Warriors will put up much fight after that. Spree might need to lead the way tonight because Cassell & KG(even tho he never gets tired) might be a little spent. But overall energy is the key.

Well, the game is already over. You were pretty close, the wolves won by 18 points.

The wolves played excellent defense after the 1st half. They made the warriors shoot just 31 percent (10-of-32) from the field(only allowing 24pts in the second half).

KG was just on fire in this game. He finished 12-of-15 from the floor and was playing great defense. He also got his 70th double-souble of the season with 29pts and 15rebs.

The wolves can clinch the first spot in the western conference by winning their las 2 games against Utah and Memphis.

Yeah you were close in the score but kind of wrong on the bigman part. Adonal Foyle had his way inside early. But he didnt do anything in the 2nd half. But still he finished the game with some impressive # 20pts and 16 rebs.

But the Timberwolves picked their game up in the 2nd half, after giving up the early double-digit lead they had in the 1st half. KG was just about prefect all game long. And Sam picked his game up in the 2nd half after struggling early. And Wally made a couple big shots in the 4th.

The only thing that scares me right now with the timberwolves is the inconsistent play of kandiman at the center spot.

Well with this win I think the Wolves basically secured the #1 spot. I can't see them losing to Utah at home, and since they hold the tie breakers against L.A. and Sacramento even if they lost at Memphis they will probably end up with the top seed.

They need to win both games. The Spurs are still on their heels. And they hold the tie breaker against the Wolves because they have a better conference record.

But I will say this who ever loses tommorrow game between the Kings/Lakers will be in the 4 spot.I think its going to finish like this

    1. Wolves
    2.Lakers
    3. Spurs
4.kings(I think they are going to lose to the lakers tommorrow, they have no confidence & their defense stinks)
