MVP: Kevin Garnett, the stats don't lie and although he has help, his team is in position to FINALLY get decently far into the playoffs.

MOST IMPROVED: Zach Randolph. I've said it all year, and although Joe Johnson is right there, Zach's team has a better record, and I wanted him on the All-Star team (bench), so that shows how good I think he's become.

6TH MAN: Earl Boykins. Not great stats, but he was one of the BIGGEST reasons that Denver is in contention for a playoff spot. Again statistically there are better players, but a lot of what he offers as a 6th man isn't in the box scores.

ROOKIE OF THE YEAR: Carmelo Anthony. Look at the stats.... LeBron has more APG and that's about it, Carmelo has more PPG, RPG, better FG%, FT%, 3PT%, and all in LESS MINUTES!!

DEFENSIVE PLAYER: Shawn Marion.... yeah this is my personal pick, Shawn leads the league in Steals, he gets 1.36 BPG and gets 6.6 Defensive RPG (9.3 total) -- if not Shawn, then I'm going with AK47!!

    First Team ALL-NBA:
    Kevin Garnett
    Tim Duncan
    Shaquille O'Neal
    Predrag Stojakovic
    Tracy McGrady

    First Team ALL-Defense:
    Ben Wallace
    Jermaine O'Neal
    Andrei Kirilenko
    Shawn Marion
    Ron Artest

I don't think the First Teams require C, PF, SF, SG, PG so I just picked 2 forwards, a center, and 2 guards (I cheated and put Stojakovic and Marion as guards)

MVP: Kevin Garnett - Currently, his team is #1 in the west. He leads the league in double doubles and rebounds, and, no one has really played as good as he has all season. I think he's the hands down candidate for MVP.

Most Improved: Zach Randolph - He has made huge leaps in bounds in every statistical category when he was put in the starting line up. He is now the franchise player and I really don't know if there is anyone else has improved to the extent that he has this year.

6th Man: Antawn Jamison - He's averaging over 14 ppg coming off the bench. He's done a terrific job in his first season coming off the bench and adjusting to the role of 6th man.

Rookie Of The Year: Carmelo Anthony - His team is in the race for the 8th seed in the much stronger western conference. He's got better overall stats including his teams overall record. The only thing that James really has on him is the assists per game, but, Melo is not really needed to pass the ball, that's what Miller is far. So, I think, the fact that his team has a chance to make the playoffs in the West whereas I do believe James Cavs are now eliminated in the East after losing today, I think that he wins it.

Defensive Player: Ron Artest - I was thinking him already, but, today I saw an interesting stat on ESPN during the game. People went through and looked at all his games this season, and they found out that people he guards are averaging only 8.1 ppg on 9.2 field goal attempts. I think that stat right there gives him the award. He's the best one on one defender in the league, and, unlike Ben Wallace, he has become highly productive on both ends of the court.

    First Team:
    Sam Cassell
    Kobe Bryant
    Peja Stojakovic
    Kevin Garnett
    Shaquille O' Neal

    All NBA Defense:
    Jason Kidd
    Ron Artest
    Andrei Kirilenko
    Kevin Garnett
    Ben Wallace

Theo Ratliff-I think this because he blocks a lot of shots but not only does he do this. You can tell when people try to go in the lane they feel his pressence.I doubt he will get this award, he gets little recognition for what he does.

Why isn't Kevin Garnett on the First Team? He'll qualify as a PF or SF, and if he only qualifies as PF, he'll still beat out Tim Duncan for first team.

MVP: Tim Duncan - He is the best. He has the team on his back. His sporting cast isnt half as good as Garnett. Duncan is the best but KG is real close

MIP: Zach Randolph - Redd close though.

6th Man: Antwan Jamison - No doubt. Shouldbe a starter.

ROY: Carmelo Anthony: No doubt either. How can you say a player that is only better in asist and steals is a better player. Melo has a worse line up and is doing better in a much much much harder division. He is clearly the ROY

Defensive Player: Ben Wallace - How can you say Artest when all he does is Guard his player well. Ben Wallace stops any player at any position from scoring. He can steal from a guard and block a center. He cahnges at least 10 shoots per game. Artest is the best at garding his man though but Wallace is amazing too and he puts up better numbers. Close to Artest in steals and much better in blocks.

    1st Team:
    Kidd
    McGrady
    KG
    Duncan
    Shaq

    2nd Team
    Kidd
    Kobe
    Stojakovic
    Carter(a bit biased)
    Jermaine

    1st Defensive Team
    Artest
    Bowen
    Marion/Kirilenko(cant decide)
    Wallace

Have you looked at his stats? He's averaging 20ppg and over 7 assists. I think that right there is enough to put him on. He's got the best stats out of any point guard in the league for the most part. And, he's the 2nd option on his team and he has those stats. The stats don't lie and I think he deserves being on 1st team.

exactly...so according to unstoppables logic, KG should have won MVP last year but he actually got gypped of it...cause TD had a better supporting cast with Tony parker, ginobili, and David robinson last year...and KG's team (cast wise) wasn't 'half as good' either...

If TD wins it this year you kno there's somethin wrong....i dont think he deserved it last year or the year before (Jaskon Kidd should've won it in 2002)
and he definetly doesn't deserve it this year...
