Congrats to the Houston Rockets and their long-awaiting fans who have suffered through the past 5 playoff-less seasons. With their 106-103 victory over Denver tonight (and SA's 84-74 win over Portland) Houston secured themselves a spot for the 2004 Playoffs. Francis was simply incredible-33 points, 11 assists and 4 steals in the biggest game of his NBA career, as well as the Rockets' biggest game in the past 5 years. He truly deserves MVP of the game, as he played his best when his best was needed. CONGRATULATIONS ROCKETS!!
Today is a great day to be a Rockets fan. Not only do they pull off a victory in a very good game against the Nuggets but they clinch a playoff spot. This is the day Rocket fans have been hoping for for quite some time. Lets just hope we can do well in the playoffs. I think a good goal for us this year is to make it past the first round this year. Lets all hope we get a favorable matchup in the first round. Go Rockets!!!! :dancepart
Wow!Finally. It will be intresting to see how they do and how far the will go in the playoffs.BTW I know this is off the topic but was The Franchise wearing an arm sleeve?

I'd play the kings becuz of webber, he shoots 18 shots agame and makes 5...haha that guy got no face. Yao would stop shooting and hogging after misses shots. I feel bad for kings, webber keeps hogging and bricking.
Nice one. If the playoffs started today, Houston would play Sacramento (Minnesota are no. 1 right now). I think they can do some damage in the playoffs.
I'm not even gonna front...I dont wanna see sac in the playoffs...I think we'll have much better luck with LA or Minny, but Sac has our number, altho our odds would greatly improve if 1) Francis maintains his consistent play and 2) Webber and Jackson arent 100%...
Well done to the Rockets, but I wouldn't get my hopes up come playoff time with the way they're playing recently. It was a good season, they did what they were expected to do in make the playoffs but some fans might of got a bit worried against Denver that they might not make it. The Rockets are 20-29 against all Western Conference opponents, and now they'll be playing the second best Western Conference team(either Kings, Lakers or Spurs). It's a harsh reality, but there are some good points coming out of this season and Yao will only get better.
Woohoo! First time since 1999 we made the playoffs. Now it's going to be more intense in the playoffs. Yao, Steve, Jim, and Cuttino will have to bring their A game if they wanna reach the finals.
i hope they play lakers first round. i think rockets can beat the lakers since Yao is the only player that is close to being able to match up with shaq. rockets dont have enough big bodies to go up against teams like kings (divac, brad miller, cwebb) or minny (kg, kandiman, madson, etc.) and the rockets r not fast enough for dallas so lakers would be best. good matchups at point and centre too

The Lakers are the one team I don't want to face in the playoffs simply due to the fact that in the playoffs the Lakers always seem to be on top of their game. The Lakers have the most experience in terms of players and the Rockets would have to play 4 games in LA. Rockets vs. Lakers in the first round of the playoffs is :thumbsdow
I think it'll end up Houston and Lakers in the playoffs... Lakers will win this series, unfortunately
BOO YEAH!!!!!!!!!!! Finally we get what we want and need. Although I'm not very optimistic of our chances in the playoffs, I'm still excited by this achievement. I believe we can become the Phoenix Suns of last year, scaring any team we face in the playoffs, which is not a bad ending for an up-and-down season.
They lost with only scoring 69 points tonight. But congrats for finally making it after a 5 year drought. I love watching Ming play, but Steve struggles all the time I see him play now. He only scored what, 5 points tonight.
