I'm watching Sacramento vs Phoenix right now and it's disappointing to say the least. I have a quick question, seeing how bad Sacramento is looking right now, why haven't they tried a zone defense? Hell, they could even throw a line up with Divac, Webber, and Miller in the front court so they'd be bigger in the 2-3 zone. That would help with rebounding, where they've struggled and shot blocking, where they've struggled. I'm not sure how much success they'd have with the zone defense, but it's worth a try because apperantly simply challenging shots is too much for Sacramento to comprehend right now.
Sac-town has always had a problem with defense. They're like the Mavs. They expel all their energy on offense and get burned on the defensive end. And, in the playoffs, if you can't play defense, you won't win. This is why they get beat year in year out. They are horrible defensively. And, the thing that has hurt them more than defense, Chris Webber. Watching his shot selection at times last night was terrible. He was taking a lot of jumpers. He obviously doesn't realize that there is a reason he is open. I think that he has messed up the chemistry on the team and that they were better without him.

I don't know if you've noticed but Webber added that 15 foot jumper to his game awhile back, and he's hit it on a regular basis too. No doubt he needs to get his lift and explosiveness back so he can play better in the low post, but his ability to knock down that short jumpshot makes him that much more dangerous.
Sacramento better watch out. They're playing horrible and the Playoff's is right around the corner. If Sacramento falls to the 4th seed which is highly possible. Dont be surprised if Memphis or Dallas take the series to a Game 7. Or even win the series. They better hope Jackson is 110% by the time the post-season begins.
Yea, but, he is too inconsistent with it. I've watched a lot of games when he has been fully healthy, not this seasonh but prior seasons, where he has settled for that jumper. He should be going into the paint instead of settling for it. Plus, he hasn't obviously helped them yet, that's why they're only 10-10 with him in the lineup now. And, just wondering, looking at his stats, last I knew, 42% from the floor for a power forward isn't that good. I do realize that he is still kinda working his way back but that still isn't great.
Definitely, The kings win when they outplay their opponents through thei offense. Never through defense. Either stick with what theyre good at or work on their defense. The only King I think of that can play defense is Christie. Liek last night's game against Phoenix, I couldn't believe how many times they couldn't make stops.
too bad they picked the worst time to start playhing bad. With b. jacksons return they can do it, but its pretty disappointing right now.

In the past, they could put up points in a heartbeat and that made it easy to overshadow the problems they had on defense. Right now they are having a hard time putting up points like they usually do so of course their problems on defense are starting to glare
