next year is going to be amazing for this team. the only reasons y the cavs didnt make the playoffs this year was bcuz: 1) ricky davis (record changed a lot after trading him) 2) daruis miles (getting mcinnis changed everything) 3) injuries (mcinnis going down screwed the team over in the end) next year lebron is going to be amazing. i expect 25-5-5 from him. booz will be a 20-15 player and Big Z will be 15-7. Mcinnis will be rocking with 10-6 and duanny will be a great backup. he was injured pretty much the entire season and never got a chance to prove himself. but i expect him to score a lot. eric williams, battie, newble, etc. will all work on their games and together as a team they will own the east!
this was a winning season in ways for the cavs and the city of cleveland. lebron revived the city, you got good players in trades like mcinnis, battie, williams and players found their rolls. you will have more chemestry next year and the guys will know what they need to do to improve themselves and how to win. silas did a good job this year coaching a young team, with a teenage superstar and with new faces coming into his system. this was like a long mini camp for you guys. you will definitly be in the playoffs next year and with how bad most of the teams are in the east, you guys could be the 4th or 5th best team behind indy,nj,det, and maybe hornets. cavs are a fun team to watch and will have a stellar season next year. good season cavs!
i agree it was a fantastic season in many ways, i have very high expectation for next year! hopefully no unforeseen disasters (injuries, bad attitudes, etc.) get in the way next season throwback, just to let you know i'm rooting for the nets the whole way in the playoffs, get your two guys healthy and represent the east!
Everything was new this year, new franchise player, new coach, new point guard, hell the whole roster was different from last years. Off season will allow this roster to grow and become better friends and have better court chemistry next season. An addition of another rookie and a key free agent will beef this team up and rack some good amount of wins. It really sucks that there's only 3 games left. I hate this time of year when we have no team to root for. But this will soon change. LeBron is gonna be killa next season. All the kid really needs is a consistant jumpshot like TMac and Vince have aquired to up his game. Once that falls in place, there will be a new unstoppable #23 in the league.
LeBron needs to start attacking more and making a his own shots like Carmello and Wade He'll get better and like Austin Carr said, Years to come LeBron will be 20/10/10 who knows? I can't wait.. Hopefully we can sign some Key Free Agents ex. Rasheed Wallace, Stephen Jackson, Darius Miles, Q-Rich, etc.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting insshc:</div><div class="quote_post">throwback, just to let you know i'm rooting for the nets the whole way in the playoffs, get your two guys healthy and represent the east!</div> yea injuries have killed us all season, but since kidd and kmart have been out our bench players have gained confidence. once we put our two all-stars back in the lineup and add the confidence of the bench, we should 3peat as east champs. i think people overlook paul silas. he is a great coach and almost took a team that was basically gutted into a post-season team. i thought it was too good to be true. i just hope the cavs and nets play more next year cause kidd vs james is a matchup i would like to see more. i wonder if the cavs will have the same amt, or more games televised on national tv next year.
I don't think we need to waste any money this offseason on mediocre free agents. Let all our free agents walk... free up about 7 million dollars in cap space.... add in a Ben Gordon or Hakim Warrick in the draft.... play out the season... then let all the free agents walk at the end of next season and sign Ray Allen.

Are you saying let next season ride, and dont look to make needed additions? Do we not sign a needed shooter? I understand your point being, there isn't a player in your opinion worthy of our capspace. But if we make no additions, who would want to come to another lottery team making no improvements. Yours points are noted, but that tactic could bite us!
In my opinion I think that the key for next seasons success is to sign at LEAST two free agents get a good draft pick and make sure everyone gets healthy over the summer. the cavs will be in good shape if they do this
