Didn't have any idea for a TITLE for this thread..sorry..

My question is.. Will Lebron choose to stay with cavalier once his contract is over (end of next year).. I know he signed a two-year contract with CAVS (correct me if i'm wrong) But will he sign a contract extension? like 6 year multi million dollar contract ...OBVIOUSLY he's a franchise player and i'm sure A LOT OF OTHER TEAMS will want Lebron especially when he averages 25-7-7 next season (I'm NOT Exaggerating here!) ..What do you predict will happen?

James is signed through the 2005/2006 season, with a team option for 2006/2007, and a qualifying offer already on the table for 2007/2008. You can begin to worry about his next contract and team in the summer of 2008!!

The Cavs have gotta be crazy to let this kid go... if LeBron really wants to go then the team has gotta do whatever it takes to keep him. Make him the president of the team or whatever.

Ok. I may not be a freak like you who probably Knows EVERY SINGLE CONTRACT NEGOTIATION RULES IN THE BOOKS. But that doesn't make me *foolish*. oh yea, who is the "freak" here, anyway?

And how is my questioning "demeaning to the forum."? I think your response fits that description much, much better.

i think he just meant that you can be safely assured that lebron will never wear any team's jersey besides that of the cleveland cavaliers... the front office and management isn't stupid (despite our frequent criticisms) and they will do whatever it takes to make sure lebron stays a cleveland cavalier for the duration of his nba career

LeBron isn't going anywhere for a long long time. Pax will give him whatever the hell he wants to convince him to stay.

Who knows, it's way too early to try and predict what he'll do. Maybe he'll want to get out of the state, away from family and friends in a few years and see what life is like in a big city. A lot depends on how successful we are as a team in the next few years imo.

I'm sure the Cavs will do everything they can to keep Lebron as a Cav for life, but ultimately it will be his decision to stay or leave.

As far as contracts are concerned, you can check them out at www.hoopshype.com/salaries

He'll be a Cav for a while. I'd be suprised if he ver was traded, Ever. Plus i doubt he'd want to be traded seeing as how Ohio is his home state.

LeBron will never be traded. He is here for some time. What we need to do is get this team to improve as the years pass so LeBron can bring the championship. If we build it, he will bring it!

Here's a good reason why the Cavaliers wont let him walk.....

<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">CLEVELAND - A day after Easter, the Cavaliers and their fans are celebrating a resurrection of their own -- one not Biblical or religious in nature, but nonetheless based on faith.

Faith in a brighter future for the franchise. Faith in a 19-year-old rookie who they hope will lead them to a place where fans haven't dreamed of going since the Cavaliers moved into Gund Arena 10 years ago.

When LeBron James and the Cavaliers play their final home game tonight on Fan Appreciation Night against the Milwaukee Bucks, it will culminate the NBA's greatest season-to-season increase in average home attendance. </div>
