I just thought it might be interesting who everyone would choose as their fantasy starting 5. Mine would be: PG-Sam Cassell- might not be a popular pick, but this year he is avg. 20 points, he's 5th in assists, is shooting a ridiculous .509 from the field, and ranks 3rd in 3 point%. SG-T-Mac- he's a 30-6-5 guy........nuff said SF- Vince Carter- i think he plays better as a forward, and i think he's an underrated passer.......plus i put him on the list to piss people off. PF-Jermaine O'Neal- i personally think he's the mvp this year, cause indy is probably gonna finish with the best record in the league, and they wouldn't even be close without him.....plus he's a 20-10-2 guy. C- Yao- i pick him because he's younger, healthier, and makes a hell of alot less money then shaq. I personally think he can be just as dominant if Steve Francis wasen't an ass. Plus I just hate shaq. LEMME HEAR WHAT U THINK
Whoa whoa whoa, how do you not have KG at SF? VC over KG? No Way. Mine would be the same probably with KG at SF instead of VC.
it depends, for this year or for the future? One year PG - Kidd SG - McGrady SF - VC or Artest PF - Duncan or KG C - Shaq Future PG - Lebron Sg - McGrady SF - KG PF- Dirk Nowitzki(hes only 24) C - Yao
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Jdawg909:</div><div class="quote_post">Whoa whoa whoa, how do you not have KG at SF? VC over KG? No Way. Mine would be the same probably with KG at SF instead of VC.</div> Garnett is a power forward dude.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting norespect:</div><div class="quote_post">Garnett is a power forward dude.</div> He's only playing as a power forward because Latrell Sprewell plays SF.
exactly, as big as he is, he can flat-out move, spin and shoot. SF traits, but the system is messed up in the first place.
PG: LeBron James - He has developed into a good shooter whether it's inside, outside, or mid range. He's a great passer and has awesome court vision. And, to top it all off, he's only 19. SG: Kobe Bryant - Best clutch player in the game today. Deadly mid range shooter, is getting a better outside jump shot, and, he is a great defender. SF: Tracy McGrady - Basically the same as Kobe but not quite as good of a defender. He's a good shooter, tremendous leaper and is athletic beyond belief. PF: Kevin Garnett - He's basically Mr. Everything. He can do it all. He can shoot, defend, rebound, pass, block, everything. He's the league MVP and yea, he's just great overall. C: Shaquille O' Neal - He's still the most dominant player in the game today. He makes you change your entire game plan just to defend him. He's simply dominant.
Is there a cap? If there is then i'm not sure if any of those rosters can work. PG- Rafer Alston(he is all-star potential) SG- Kobe Bryant SF- Kevin Garnett PF- Zach Randolph C - Shaquille O'Neal And if there isn't.. PG- Lebron James SG- Kobe Bryant SF- Kevin Garnett PF- Tim Duncan C - Shaquille O'Neal
PG: Jason Kidd SG: Kobe Bryant SF: T-Mac PF: KG C: Tim Duncan (i originally had Shaq here, but i like Duncan's game SO much more)
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting norespect:</div><div class="quote_post"> PF-Jermaine O'Neal- i personally think he's the mvp this year, cause indy is probably gonna finish with the best record in the league, and they wouldn't even be close without him.....plus he's a 20-10-2 guy. </div> They were guaranteed the best record in the league when they won a couple days ago.
Mine would be: PG: Jason Kidd SG: Kobe Bryant SF: Ron Artest PF: Ben Wallace C : Tim Duncan With that lineup, you get plenty of offense and defense at the same time, and that lineup would probably have great chemistry, because none of them are really selfish, well unless you consider Kobe selfish ofcourse. Kobe can do his load of scoring and get fed from Kidd and his passing, and would be able to throw it into Duncan at any time when they need him. Ben Wallace would also be gobbling up the boards and Artest would be smothering people on the defensive end. This lineup would be unstoppable.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting norespect:</div><div class="quote_post">Garnett is a power forward dude.</div> Well dude, in fantasy he qualifies at SF.
I would have to go with... PG - Sam Cassell SG - Kobe Bryant SF - Andrei Kirilenko PF - Tim Duncan C - Theo Ratliff Honorable Mention - Raef LaFrentz
All Scoring PG-Iverson SG-McGrady SF-KG PF-Duncan C-Shaq ALL DEFENSE PG-Kidd SG-Artest SF-Garnett PF-Jermaine O'Neal C-Ben Wallace
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Ming637:</div><div class="quote_post">He's only playing as a power forward because Latrell Sprewell plays SF.</div> Actually most of his career he's played as a PF, and isn't only playing the 4 because of Spree, because he is capable ofp laying the 3 people suddenly though he's strictly a 3 playing the 4 or something. Also he's listed as a F, not a SF, the sites usually don't distinguish between SF or PF, they just write F. Anyways: PG: Gilbert Arenas - Triple Double threat every game, and he can shoot and defend, if he cut's down on the turnovers then he's a great pick. SG: Kobe Bryant - Sorry Tmac, but he's a better defender and clutch shooter, we just have to get him to tone down the shooting. SF: Kevin Garnett: What is their to say he's amazing. I want Duncan on my team too so he's my 3. PF: Tim Duncan: Might be boring but gets the job done. C: Shaquille O'neal: Is still a beast
