So what do you guys think? Glenso? Pats? Bakes? Can you guys win in Pittsburgh?!? 22 in a row?

Personally, I think it'll be a great game. I hope Pittsburgh is a dog at home. If they are, the game's a lock... [IMG] j/k

I might be going, after the Steelers on a bye this week, I'm ready for some FOOTBALL!!!

I think it should be another close game. The lost of Casey Hampton may make the steelers a little soft up the middle. But the thing I've liked about the steelers for a few years is those WR's and now they finally have a QB to go along with them. That running attack hasnt looked too bad either. In the end though, I would be suprised if we dont come out of there with a victory.

    My keys to victory are:

    1. Control the clock with the running game - If Staley can run for 100 yards and we can win the time of possession game, we can win.

    2. Win the turnover battle - it seems obvious, but if we can avoid stupid turnovers and create one or two, we'll be in good shape.

    3. Don't put Roethlisberger in a bad situation - If we can keep the game close, we can win. If we get down by more than 14, it could be a long day.

    4. Keep pressure on Brady - If we can keep pressure on Brady and make him throw some bad balls, we will win key #2.

    5. Don't overthink the game - Playing New England is mental chess. If we don't overthink it and play our ball, we can win. Being intimidated will only cause us to implode.

Just like the steelers did against the cowboys last week those LB's blitzing will cause brady to give up bad passes and with polamalu we should do good ... nice way to explain steelerfan

Thanks SFCB. I'm not one who wants to be unrealistic here. We could and probably should lose this game. But at the same time, it is winnable. Control the cloce and avoid costly mistakes and we can win.

    Easier said than done.

new england enjoyed that very very long streak but now come sunday its all over due to the steelers by the score of 30-10 yeah thats right 30-10 a wipeout brady picked 3 times no time to do anything that matters in the passing game he will be pressured constantly like never before- 100 yard game by duce staley-the main reason the steelers will win is because they will figure it out that the way u beat new england is to keep them at a low comfort level and u do that by two ways one hurry up offense- two 8 man box the new england team is a technical team therefore to beat them which the steelers will do sunday u destroy their smooth operation new england does not want to be sloppy so make the game smashmouth and in your face physical yeah yeah i know they can play that way also but they don't want u to play that way the whole game its as simple as that

Wow if its as simple as that you should just call up Bill Cowher now. If the pitt defense can create consistent pressure on Brady with 3 down linemen and 1 LB then you're in good shape but when you need to bring more than that, you'll see Brady is as good as anyone at exploiting the blitz. Glad to see this game getting lots of attention, should be a good one!

I hope you're right bobwook. I have tickets and am going to the game. Nothing would make me happier than beating the snot out of the Pats.

Alright you see this is turning out to be another Seattle/ Pats thing. Pittsburgh is good and i think they'll pull this off. But, you can't say 30-10. Even if Brady throws three picks, the Steelers still have to face a very tough defense. This is going to be a very good game. If it were in New England i might say something different. With the Steelers at home gives them an unbelievable advantage. It's hard to go into Pittsburgh and take em down especially if they're having a good year. That's why i think this will be Pitts game. Not because of the stats or predictions. But because it's a mental thing. New England just better not let this one get in their head or it'll be over for them.

After beating the Jets & FINALLY getting an official record for most consecutive regular season wins in a row I am ok with us taking an L this Sunday. The Steelers are not a division team & even tho it could effect who has home field in the AFC title game I'm not worried about that right now. I would think the streak talk would slowly start to get old but it will never die completely til we lose. Big Ben looks great. I predict a shoot out. I'm picking the Steelers 30-27 I think the Pats are a much better team, but it being in Pitt & their revamped offense I like their chances to put an end to this amazing streak.

Wow.... I like the pick Bakes, but I think both defenses are too good for a shootout. The only thing that makes me hesitant to say it's completely impossible is that Ben is the wild card. How he plays will determine the outcome of the game. I guess to a degree that's obvious, but at the same time, New England doesn't have an advantage never playing against him before. Gameplanning won't be as easy for Belicheck and company. Can't wait until Sunday, I know that.

I am guessing the team with the fewest turnovers will win.

Sure, Ben might be an X factor, but Belichik's defense seems to do just fine against even the most elite QB's in the NFL, let alone some rookie no matter how good that rookie might be in this stage of his career. Can Ben play a perfect, mistake-free game against the Pats this week? I have my doubts about that. I think NE will attempt to confuse the hell out of Ben and it will probably work.

Of all the other teams though, I think that Pittsburgh or Denver have a better shot at halting the Pats than the rest of them.

You think they have better chance than say a Minnesota, philly, or st. louis?

Lets not forget their last loss was to wash a very bad team. Though it is hard to remember since it was a long, long, long, long, long, long, long, long, long, long, long, long, long, long, long, long, long, long, long, long, long time ago.
