What the hell is wrong with these Kings. The Kings demolish the Lakers one night and than lose to the Nuggets when they could clinch the #2 seed. Get it together!
I guess I'll just say congrats to the Nuggets for taking down the Kings and finally clinching the 8th spot in the west. And, yea, the Kings, I don't get them. They go and blow out one of the best teams in the league, than they go and lose to a team fighting for their playoff lives. Strange team lately.
I'd just like to say thank you to the Kings for giving us that playoff spot. Are the Kings 11-11 now with Webber or something like that?
Stojakovic seems to be missing the mark and not putting up the stats as much. He hasn't had the 30 point games he had early on this season. Brad Miller isn't able to contribute as much (except for putting Vlade on the bench). Losing to the Suns and the Nuggets is weird for them.
I think that Peja and Miller were the bread and butter of that dominant Kings team we saw all year, and Webber coming in throws both of them out of synch. Peja because he's no longer option numero uno on offense. And Miller because he's no longer starting nor playing as many minutes, and when he is playing he's seeing minutes more at the 5 than at the 4 since he's backing up Divac a lot. Still, I respect Adelman's decision to throw Webber in, since they'll need him to win the title. Its better to lose some regular season games than a playoff series, so he made the right decision.
A lot of teams struggle when they play the day after, especially when they have to move arenas like the Kings did. But that doesn't excuse the lost, and if they keep playing like this with Webber and they don't go far in the playoffs, I think Chris Webber's days are coming to an end in Sacramento.
I agree that CWebb's return has put-off both peja and miller, as well as the whole team (slower play movement), but it may be a bit too early to start trading him yet. I imagine it's quite hard to incorporate him so soon and under so much pressure. Maybe Adelman's forcing him, so that he fits in as well as possible before the playoffs start.
