The 16 teams have been determined and the seedings are all, but finalized. Many of you have seen your favorite teams fall out of the post-season, and many are gearing up for the post-season push. As fans of the NBA, who do you want to see in the Finals? I would like to see Lakers/Pacers. I think that would provide the best match up. Two fairly evenly matched teams. The only thing in the game is would Jermaine be able to contain Shaq on the inside.

How ironic would it be for Kobe to win his final championship ring with the Lakers, against the same team he won his first championship ring with the Lakers? Plenty of star match-ups... O'Neal vs. O'Neal Kobe vs. Artest
Yo, lakers pacers would be the tightest, or lakers pistons with the two wallaces against kobe and shaq. But what i think is most possible is Kings and Pacers
I'm thinking its gonna be Kings-Pistons. No personal reasons, I just think that those are the teams that are gonna come out on top. I think that the Wallace Bros. will be the answer to JO in the middle, and that the Pacers won't be able to contain Chauncey Billups and Darko Milicik. Ok, maybe just Chauncey. The Kings I think will finally click onto all cylinders in the first round, and have the deepest front court in the league. I think they'll prevail over the Spurs in the 2nd round and the Wolves will beat the LakeShow, and then the Kings will beat the Wolves largely on experience.

I almost feel compelled to amend my choice in light of the Kings being the 4th seed instead of the 2nd, but I'll leave it as is.
Hungi1115- They won, Kobe buzzer beater. My ideal finals would be Spurs vs. Pistons. Provided all were healthy, it would make an interesting and enjoyable matchup for me(but not everyone). Edit: Sorry I thought it was whoever you wanted, but now I understand. I'm so used to Utah making the playoffs though it's the first time since I've been alive they haven't made it .
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting B-22:</div><div class="quote_post">T-Wolves vs Nets(If J Kidd and K-Mart is healthy)</div> Agreed 100%, My favorite player Sam Iam vs my favorite team the Nets. You have excellent matchups. You got 2 of the top point guards in the league for the last 6 years in the NBA Sam vs J.Kidd. Your classic match between scoring point guard & playmaking point guard. We will get to see which one can lead his team to the chip in the finals the scoring PG or the playmaking PG. You got RJ vs Spree. Thats a battle of one of the most explosive wingmen of the 90's/ early 00' vs one of the most explosive wingmen currently. We get to see if Spree can relive a little bit of his prime years to keep up with the younger more explosive RJ. And then at the power forward spot its like the battle of the unmovable forces. KG vs Martin. You no K-mart isnt going to back down from the matchup against maybe the most well rounded PF in basketball. Sam Cassell/KG pick & roll offense vs Kidd/Martin transition/motion offense. Its a must see imo.
I would like Twolves vs. Knicks Steph back in Minnesota seeing who wins one first Spree back in New York
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Aaron:</div><div class="quote_post">I would like Twolves vs. Knicks Steph back in Minnesota seeing who wins one first Spree back in New York</div> Good choice. There would be a lot of sub plots to this match-up. Marbury, Spree, and also all the talk about Wally wanting to bolt to the Knicks a season ago, and of course the Cassell and Tim Thomas war of words. I also like the idea of two former NBA players, now GM's, in Isiah Thomas and Kevin McHale facing off.
I think its going to be Lakers vs Pistons. Last time the pacers played the Pistons the Pistons held them to 61 points. I think the Lakers are going to win the series but if the Pacers get into the finals they could win because Artest could shut down Kobe.
I'd want to see the Knicks and Rockets in the Finals. I think it'll likely be the Pistons and either the Lakers, Kings or Timberwolves.
