While I won't guarantee it, I sure won't rule it out, either. With this team so focused & playing all facets of the game well, there's no reason to think they'll have to play a game 6 in this series.

Let's face it: this team just humiliated a pretty solid Memphis squad & that isn't the first team in this streak to get humiliated, either. Defensively, we've been strong, almost as strong as Detroit or the Spurs. Offensively, we're shooting the ball well. Spree, KG & especially Sam & Wally have been shooting lights out. Sam's been a maestro 'orchestrating' the offense, too.

    Opinions anyone???

I think, if the T-Wolves WANT to sweep them. They will. Sometimes, even dominant teams don't have the WE'RE GONNA SWEEP THESE PUNK, TOTALLY DISRESPECT THEM mentality. If the Wolves want to keep the fire burning and get some relaxation in before the next series (Kings and Mavs should at least go 6) they need to take care of business.

I expect Nuggets to win 2 games, Melo will have 30+ at least one game and carry his team to victory. If Wolves let the Nuggets get out and run, Minny will be in trouble.

Wolves have never won a playoff series, the last thing you should be thinking about is sweeping a team. How about winning it no matter how tough it is.

There will be so much pressure on KG, he has to win this series...If not, we will see the "loser" label being pulled out everywhere.

Minnesota will definitely go to the second round. If Denver is lucky, they'll win a home game. Minny in 5.

There ain't no way the Nuggets win twice in this series. KG's on a totally locked-in mission to destroy whatever's in his path. Our bench is as good as most eastern conference fifth through eighth seeds' starters. Sam & Spree will score alot & Trenton Hassell's gonna put young Melo's head in a tizzy. Simply put, we're coming for a whooping & we won't be denied against the Nuggets.

Call me crazy, but I see this series as possible going to 6 or 7 games. The Wolves are gonig to be under tremendous pressure to get out of the first round with this new look team. This pyschological factor can possibly play a big role. Once again, Garnett will take this team on his back and carry them. The only difference is that this year he'll have a little help carrying the load.

I'll gladly call you crazy for seeing this series going 6 games. This T'Wolf team is so focused that they won't even think of the 0 fer monkey. In fact, I saw a KG TV interview & he's using that as motivation & that he thinks all that talk is cool with him.

Also, the T'Wolves are so vastly better in every facet than the Nuggets that it's silly. Thinking that Melo can win a game by himself is foolish, too. He might have a 30 point game but that still leaves them way short of what they'll need to win. T'Wolves will score 105+ ppg, possibly a bunch more.

Well seeing how this poster's name is "T-Wolf-Fanatic", I'm assuming this is INFACT an unbias prediction. Just Kidding.

I'd agree that The Timberwolves should have a relatively easy series, however I do think Denver could take a game or two if they play well. The T-Wolves showed dominance during the regular season against Denver, I believe they won the season series 3-0. Not only that but they did so in a quite impressive manor, winning by an average of 12 points per game in those three encounters.

However, Denver has a few strengths that I believe could win them a game or two if they utilize them correctly. For instance, they're a very strong front court rebounding team. Marcus Camby, Nene, and Carmelo Anthony average about 23 rebounds a game. This allows them to run the fastbreak, statistically they're one of the top teams in the league at doing so. Now it gets interesting because at home, with Denver's altitude, it proves to be a VERY effective game plan. Seeing how this is now a 7 game first round series, Minnesota would have to endure 3 straight fastbreak games in Denver, which could allow The Nuggets to sneak away with a game or two. Just a thought, my opinion though, Minnesota over Denver 4-2.

Wolves 4-0, i heard camby is injured so there is no way that Nene can take care of both KG and Kandi man, he cant even handle KG himself. I cant think of any ways the Nuggest can win unless wolves have a bad game. Wolves at 4

    1. Yes, my s/n is TWolfFanatic but that's because I've watched this team play 60+ games on TV & I've done alot of thinking about what this team has for weapons, both offensively & defensively. BTW, I know your 'shot' was in jest so we're cool.

    2. Actually, the season series was 3-1, with Denver winning the last game in Denver. This was during our transition period when Kandi & Wally weren't playing well after returning from injuries & THud was out. That isn't making excuses but Denver played poorly, by T'Wolf standards, but still won.

    3. Hilario (I refuse to call him Nene), Camby & Boy Wonder averaging 23 rpg isn't nearly as impressive as KG & Kandi averaging 23 rpg & 5.5 bpg over the last month, is it? Throw in Trenton Hassell's, Hoibs' & Spree's rebounding & we're looking at holding a sizable rebounding advantage. Kandi & Mad Dog are terror on the offensive glass, too.

Sidenote: Flip said in an article that a team's lungs adjust after that "first burn". He's taking the team out there the day after Game 2 to put them through a fast-paced practice so they have that burn out of the way before Game 3, which I think is smart.

X-Factor: T'Wolves have starter quality players coming off the bench right now in Wally & Kandi, then 3 other smart players in Fred Hoiberg, Darrick Martin & Mark Madsen. They'll be able to run players in & out of games if need be & keep each other fresh & productive.

X-Factor 2: The defense has been stifling down the stretch, holding the Kings to 35% shooting & 86 points. During the winning streak, they've held their opponents to 39% shooting & 82.5 ppg. That isn't against weak sister teams, either. That's Memphis twice, Sacramento, etc.

X-Factor 3: Boy Wonder will be dogged constantly by our defenders, starting with Trenton Hassell, then Spree, then Hoibs. He'll be frustrated by the time Game 3 rolls around.

In the end, this series might go 5 games but I won't put money on that.

Thats the thing, Melo has not had to carry the whole load this year. He has had some big games and has hit huge shots but Melo has help and if the Nuggets can keep these games close until the end they will have a great shot at stealing a few games. I know you guys are Wolves fans but give the Nuggets a little credit, they know how to finish off games. Boykins may be the x factor for them late in games.

The Wolves should and will win this series.

That says it all right there, the way it is supposed to be and will happen. I'm sorry to be bias of the anything can happen scenario, but if it were, it would be by a very longshot.

Sure you have Miller and Boykins, but we have Cassell. Also look at the hustle of Hassell, Hoiberg, Kandiman and Cassell. Not to mention the overall defense of the team in Hoiberg and Hassell alone, this isn't even including the Big Three and Kandiman. They outweight and outperform in almost, if not every aspect.

This new rotation has some awesome chemistry in it, and as prophecised by Saunders, would be the best idea in the longrun, in otherwords the playoffs. You may win or come close, but this'll most likely be a sweep.
