As a way to warm up our minds for the upcoming series, how about some performance predictions?!

<u>Please list who you think will win the following:</u>

    1. Series MVP :king:

    2. Defensive MVP - for both teams [IMG]

    3. Breakout Performance - Otherwise known as the <font color="Blue">"Someone told me it was time to start playing better, so I did"</font> Award. [IMG]

    4. The Highlight Film - Who's going to make the crowd come to thier feet with big plays! [IMG]

    5. Wish He had Stayed Home Award - going to the player who made the biggest impact, in the wrong way. :thumbsdow

    Enjoy!

I normally try not to post my answers to this kind of stuff right away, because I'm always worried that it might somehow influence how others pick, but this is the Celtics forum, so screw it, I'm contributing.

    Here goes:

<u>Please list who you think will win the following:</u>

    1. Series MVP - Unfortunately, I think it will be Jermaine O'neal, who will win it despite his team losing. [IMG]

    2. Defensive MVP - for both teams
    Indy: Ron Artest
Celtics: We play defense? j/k [IMG] This will come as a surprise, but Paul Pierce. I think that because he's going to have such a hard time with Artest guarding him, that he's going to return the favor. Call it a hopeful hunch.

    3. Breakout Performance - Otherwise known as the "Someone told me it was time to start playing better, so I did" Award.
Chris Mihm, With Dana Barros running a close second. [IMG]

    4. The Highlight Film - Who's going to make the crowd come to thier feet with big plays!

Is there any doubt? The pimp-daddy. The "Prime Objective<font color="Navy">"(for all you And1 Mixtape Tour fans)</font>: Ricky Davis

    5. Wish He had Stayed Home Award - going to the player who made the biggest impact, in the wrong way.

    1. Series MVP - Despite losing the series <font color="green">Paul Pierce</font> I think he'll be have a great series even while being covered by Artest

    2. Defensive MVP
Indy: Jermaine O'Neal, I know it may look strange but I think Pierce will be able to get to the basket where O'Neal will be to step and block some shots
Celtics: Mark Blount, Blount hopefully can limit O'Neal to tough shots and rebound well

    3. Breakout Performance - Otherwise known as the "Someone told me it was time to start playing better, so I did" Award.
    Al Harrington

    4. The Highlight Film - Who's going to make the crowd come to thier feet with big plays!
Pierce does anyone else remember last season when Pierce was talking smack to Harrington and he drained the three in his face, look to see more of that

    5. Wish He had Stayed Home Award - going to the player who made the biggest impact, in the wrong way.

Walter McCarty Is there any doubt about this one? Please John Carroll, Don't play Waltah play Mihm

Yes Sir, I do. I enjoyed every minute of that. It took me back to the Bird-Rifleman series and the way those 2 went after each other. Only in this case, it was one-side. [IMG]

Series MVP: Well I picked the Celtics to win in six, so I'm going to be banking on Paul Pierce to come up huge in the next four games, and subsequently take out the MVP.

Defensive MVP: Well it sure as hell ain't gonna be Ronron if I've picked Pierce as series MVP, I'll go with Mark Blount. If Boston are to make a contest of this series, he's going to need to be contesting shots, especially from JO.

    Breakout Performance: Marcus Banks

Highlight reel: Paul Pierce, with a sprinkle of Fred Jones added to the mix

    Wish he'd stayed home? Waltah
