<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post"> CLEVELAND - It didn't take the Cavaliers long to realize LeBron James is a good investment. The team said Thursday it has already picked up the option on James' contract for the 2006-07 season, a move worth roughly $5.8 million. Under the rules of the collective bargaining agreement, the Cavaliers technically could have waited until Oct. 31, 2005, before making the decision, but they figured there was no reason for suspense. Actually, the team made it official with James' agent, Aaron Goodwin, early in December, just a month into the season. Though no such records are kept, it's likely one of the fastest option pickups since the inception of the rookie salary scale. James is assured of making $18,789,169 in his first four seasons as a pro -- dwarfed by his massive endorsement contracts, indeed, but still a healthy deal. James will be a restricted free agent at the end of the 2006-07 season, but the Cavaliers will have full "Larry Bird" rights, meaning they can match and exceed any contract offer made to him no matter their available salary-cap space. </div> Full Article: http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/news?slug=knig...night&type=lgns

If James escapes us, the front office will be bombed, in a calculated attack by myself. "I'm just going to rest. This has been the longest season I've ever been a part of," James said after wrapping his NBA rookie season this week. "Basketball is not going to be a part of my life for a while." There's still a chance James could be invited to play on the U.S. Olympic team at the Athens Games in August if some current members drop off. </div> http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/news?slug=knig...night&type=lgns
Because of who he is and how he plays, I'll always be a James fan. However if the Cavs lose him, they just may lose me. ^What if he wins a championship with Cleveland? It's possible, he got a great, young and developing team around him to help him on his way. Watch out NBA!
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting KarmaCav:</div><div class="quote_post">If James escapes us, the front office will be bombed</div> Either that or LeBron will be bombed. If he were to ever leave Cleveland for the money or the fame in a place like LA he would never be welcomed back to his hometown, and he knows it Thats the #1 reason I like him being from here. He knows if he would leave for $$$ it would be Albert Belle X100.
Come on fellas, you could not hate on Bron if he wanted to leave, he can do what ever he wants. I am not really sure if I would want to play here myself anyway.
doesn't matter kj, if lebron leaves town in the public's mind he'll be mentioned in the same breath as art modell
I know that, but I could never be that biased and greedy. He has every right to play where he wants. But yes, he would be even more hated that Modell, Belle, and Jordan.

LBJ will be the best player in the L in 3 years.put together a few role players with this core and uve got a championship team.
