The articles in yesterday's paper made me think that Tmac is definetely going to leave. 1 was about how Grant Hill is basically the key factor in Tmac staying and the other was JD staying and is already starting to work for next season. Honestly I think this offseason will have a bunch of moves, but I don't think they will be the right ones. Keeping JD and trading Gooden are a couple of big ones.
Actually guys , I think T-Mac is not expecting Hill to come back and drop 20 5 5...obviously nobody does(even tough it might happen ) anyways , I think is more than that ... is weather Hill is a starter and he becomes a role player let's say 13 - 5 - 4...if playing as a PG which I think would be awesome with Lue as a backup..and SF with Garrity and Bogans , I think if Hill can do that and tells T-Mac to stay I think he would stay , anyways the good thing is T-Mac doesn't want to be another Shaq which was the only thing worrying me.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Q Rich3:</div><div class="quote_post">INDY...hmm Jermaine and Tmac...that would be an awesome duo and make them contendors..if it happend</div> And it would make their defense suffer, which Rick Carlisle would not really embrace.
In previous threads eomebody said that the east is too guard oriented and too focused on having a superstar - or bust. T-Mac is one of those players. I don't see him in Indiana. It would ruin the whole team chemistry and flow. There are many different scenarios that could occur. Maybe LA for kobe as Dj_Premium_Plus said, but I don't think San Antonio. He says he wants to win. BUt he wants to stay in Orlando. I think he could possibly go to Phoenix. again, he wants to win, so I don't think he would wanna be placed in a situation similar to the one he is in now. Miami? I doubt it. Maybe Isaiah will pull off another deak and put him in NY. I personally can't see him out of Orlando.
He needs to go to a team in need of offense, but none of them are even decent. I mean come on, the likes of the Sixers and the Magic....that's just wrong for a player of his caliber. I myself wouldn't like him with the Pacers either, the most suited team for him would have to be Celtics or Sixers like, but a lot better, meaning like Chicago or the Bucks. It would actually be nicer to see him with the Warriors or the Grizzlies. Kobe would fit there too.
So many players have it hard, little if no help at all. 'Bron, Truth, AI. TMac. 'Bron is lucky enough to have some good players like McInnis, Boozer and Ilgauskas at his side though. Speaking on about TMac, as much as I associate him with the Magic, I too think he needs to go, relying on someone like Hill is just a sad wish. That's like putting games on the line, with the likes of Penny. As much as I like Hill, he's expired, he should've retired so the money could've been put to good use. If you still had Big Ben or Shaq, things might've been much better, but you haven't. If I were him, although I want to leave, I'd wait for the draft. Maybe a good center would be the best bet since the Magic lack size and D. Then a PG, you'd possibly have to trade for maybe Nelson and Gordon, along those lines if possible.
people forget that T-Mac is an excellent defender when he wants to be, no one can refute that . The problem in Orlando was that he never played defense after his first year there, when he became a superstar. Tracy is a talented shot blocker as well. He needs to go to Indy, where he has a figure bigger than him ( Larry Bird) to tell him to stop crying and play. Also in Indy, he wouldnt have to be a leader cause jermaine is their leader. Thats the best situation for them. Al Harrington would be able to start also. Tinsley McGrady Harrington O'Neal Foster sounds like championships
T-Mac could go to the Blazers for Damon Stoudamire and Dale Davis, the blazers needs offenses from their guards(which T-Mac will help). T-Mac will not lose again in P-Town. While orlano gets a much better point guard then Lue and a formal allstar center which they need very much. Also Damon and Dale Davis's contract is gonna end next year, so that can have more money to sign those big name players in the summer of 2005. If T-Mac really want to go back to Orlando after the 2004-2005 season, the Magic can always sign him back because of their money

They could get much better value for Tmac, and even though they'd want cap space what use is it if your team sucks? No superstar would want to come to a rebuilding Orlando team with no Tmac but instead Damon Stouamire and Dale Davis.

T-Mac is not leaving We will get Okafor , Hill will become a role player and convince T-Mac to stay , Pat Garrity will be back , we might even trade Juwan and some others for a top 10 draft pick and listen to this : GRANT HILL WOULD BE OUR STARTING PG that's right , I don't have the site with me right now but I read that they said that , that would give us this: PG - Grant Hill/T-Lue/Reece Gaines/and/or Draft Pick..(Gaines could be traded with Juwan and someone else for that top 10 pick.) SG - T-Mac/DeShawn Stevenson/Britton Johnsen SF - Pat Garrity/Keith Bogans (even Stevenson and Hill could rotate here.) PF - Drew Gooden / ZaZa Pachulia(and/or 2nd round draft pick) C - Emeka Okafor / depends on what we do..either Steven Hunter..2nd Round draft pick...Andrew DeClerq and ZaZa Pachulia. now that sounds like T-Mac would give it a shot..at least see what happens before the trading deadline. We(the Orlando Magic fans) can only hope and pray for good things like that to happen and we don't draft busts or "promising projects" and Grant Hill is back at least not like he has was (hey we can always dream) but at least have over 10ppg and drop some nice assists let's say 5+ apg.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Phreeze:</div><div class="quote_post">When Grant Hill and T-Mac signed with the Magic they were a rebulding team with no superstar.</div> T-Mac signed with Orlando because he wanted his own team and because he came from Florida. This is a pretty rare occurence, look at teams like Atlanta. They had plenty of cap space and tried to make a run at Garnett but he wanted to win not pad his stats and he didn't want to be part of the rebuilding process. And Grant Hill was traded to Orlando, he didn't sign with them.

What's about McGrady and O'Neal together in Indiana? The Pacers would have to give up AT LEAST Jermaine AND a draft pick to get T-Mac.
He's off! Whether you like it or not Tracy is off and you know it! There's no way the Magic can improve enough and I don't think they trust T to keep him and risk losing him to a contender. He has too many options:- Mavs - trade him for finley and walker. Kings - T- mac and gooden for webber and christie NY - houston and a draft pick Blazers - d anderson and randolph Spurs - ginobli and nestronivic nets - jefferson and kittles Indiana I can't see though. Ideally we cud get hamilton and Okur from the pistons, but that ain't hapnin eiher. but this cud work out great for orlando, as much as I love t , he doesn't know how to carry a team. He is a great player but he doesn't give a team what they need he just plays great basketball. I like the spurs and knicks trade for t, and the blazer and mavs trade for orlando. one thing though the magic won't see t-Mac 4 too much longer.

T-mac To Suns? McGrady has let those close to him know he is interested in playing for the Suns. The Suns know this and are ready to pounce should that opportunity present itself. Full Story
