i noticed jiri welsch today playing for the celtics... and i remember rick barry saying he was the best shooter on the warriors team last year but musselman doesnt like rookies.. he leaves and is now contributing for a playoff team..

i would love to get drafted by the warriors and traded.. look at all the players the warriors had at one point ... its depressing haha

    peace

And now musselman will be out of a job because he failed to play Pietrus, the team's best lockdown defender.

Welsch was definately a player with talent but where would he fit in with the Warriors? The Celtics had a role for him and he has adapted well to it. I'm happy for the guy.

Hindsight is a beautiful thing. Unfortunately you can only play guys on their merits, and sometimes circumstances prevent these sorts of things. Hard to hold one against the Warriors.

You can say this for any team. Look at the Clippers, they're just basically a developmental team. They draft good players and they develop for a couple of years, then move on to sign with a team and become a star. We've seen this happen year after year with the Clips, and eventhough we kept Brand and Maggette we still let Odom go, and he has had a great season. Like I said this could be said for any team.

Very good point Phreeze. Take any team and you can name many players that they have let go that they "shouldn't" have. Its the way the NBA works.

Isn't Odom more of a power forward than he is a small forward? The clips were right to let him go then since there was no real fit with him and the clips. It's all about having a good fit.

The clipps if they didn't trade miles for for miller would have made the playoffs that year and could have turned the corner, that team was pretty exciting to watch and had great chemistry but, it got screwed up because of players in their contract years being selfish. But I think losing miles had a lot to do with it and also Magette. I think Maggete is a good player, but he doesn't make his teammates better at all.
