First Round Series Thread - Pistons beat Bucks in 5 games. Bring on the Nets!

    http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/recap?gameId=240418008

Pistons set team playoff record with 14 steals.

Bucks had 24 turnovers to the Pistons 11.

Pistons had 6 players in double figures.

3 players with double digit rebounds.

This series might be a sweep. The Bucks didn't show any signs to fight today. The Pistons just played phenomenal defense through the whole game.

Yeah, sorry guys. I wanted to make a preview but I had a family emergency. Couldn't even watch the game. Good that we kicked some ass though.

Damn, poor Bucks, I think they'll put up a fight, they just lack some serious size and defense. They're facing one of the best teams in the East, so anyone would have a hard time, their offense usually ends up and eventually passes up through people's defense. They'll probably break out and come out with a game or two, but I believe Pistons have this one in total.

Yeah, the Pistons win games because they play D and they hustle this should take them very far in the playoffs.

Darko even got in this one. Only 2 out the 8 series has been close games. Everybody else has been blown out and Ben Wallace actually juked out a defender and slammed it home. That was grrreat!!

Bucks could not take care of the ball, I will be surprised if Bucks win a game.

Was also not a smart decision by Damon Jones to add extra motivation for the Pistons saying he wasn't impressed by the defense

    Tut tut

Yeah, that man let the ball slip out of his hands. I hope this doesn't haunt him like some kinda Nick Anderson deal. I really thought this would be a sweep, but instead it's the first series that's tied in this years playoffs.

Sheed really did blow that last play, that meltdown by the Bucks was one of the worse I have ever seen though, up 15 with under 3.30 left and Pistons having a chance to tie with 8 seconds left? shouldn't happen

    Pistons/Bucks series tied at 1-1

Something I certainly didn't expect, Pistons will win game 3 though...

remember, Sheed nailed that huge 3 for the Pistons to even have a chance at the end.

Your Right But he did kinda give the game away at the end. Pistons didn't come in too focused Larry Brown will pull them together before game 3 and the Pistons will will out and advance to the 2nd round.

Horrible. I turn the game off in the middle of the fourth quarter, then I see us coming back. Turn on the TV and Rasheed lets the ball slip, maybe I'm bad luck? Maybe I shouldn't watch the games anymore? We'll probably sweep the Nets, Pacers, and the NBA Finals opponent to make up for this loss. :P (As long as I don't see a second of any games.[IMG])

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA thats funny. Na man i think the pistons were just screwing around making the opposition get big heads not just the bucks everyone (iniana, nets, lakers, kings etc.) in the first game they were always ally-opping to each other and still won by 20 something points. imagin if they played properly. they would have gotten up by 30 to 35 points easy. so ye i think they were just screwing around.

I was watching with my dad, and we were flipping back and forth from the Pistons and Tigers games, and so I missed most of the comeback. And then when Rasheed lost the ball out of bounds I yelled, "Why did we trade for him?!" Yeah, we got a good laugh after that... [IMG]

Winning in Milwaukee on Saturday is no guarantee. I definitely admire the Pistons though. Ben Wallace is becoming one of my favorite players. When I saw your team beat my team in game one, I was ready to put a Pistons shirt on and cheer for them. But I got to stick with my team. We are no where near as talented as Detroit. I wish we could have made a run for Rasheed, but oh well. The Pistons won't lose this series unless they beat themselves. I don't know how we could beat anyone with no point guard.

Man, I was so dissipointed and embarressed by the loss. The Pistons got so cocky after that win that they slept on game two. You just can't sleep in the playoffs regardless of how better your team is. The Spurs and the Nets got a taste of what Detroit got, but they still pulled through with luck. I expect Detroit to be hungry for the rest of the playoffs including this series.

I must say that if the Pistons want to win, they have to stop whining after every no call that they get. It really distracts the team because you have one guy arguing with the ref while the others are getting back on defense. I don't know how Rip and Desmond Mason got into it, but if the Pistons don't want an upset, Rip needs to stay focused.

Another thing really bothered me that the Pistons were nowhere to be found when it came to rebounding . Rebounding is huge in any game, and that what gives you the lead or make the game close. The Bucks cleaned the glass sweaky clean and the Pistons just watched as they always tried to get back on defense. The bench was also a reason why the Pistons lost, scoring only in the 4th quarter. If the bench was involved, the Pistons would have gotten away from the Bucks by at least 5 points.

One more thing, the Pistons were just wierd on the defensive end. You can't play agressive with the half court traps because it's not like the Bucks aren't gonna learn from their mistakes because this is the NBA Playoffs. Every time the Pistons made a trap attempt, someone was wide open, mainly Toni K., who was just on fire.

    Pistons gotta play better.

Well, it's not a "must win" today, but today's game is pretty important.

If the Pistons focus on the bad things they did in game 2 (shoot too many 3's, which lead to poor rebounding), they should be fine.

It'll be interesting to see any adjustments made by LB.

I believe the Pistons will win today, it is pretty important. Great day though, Lions get Roy William, Red Wings and Pistons are playing. Then Klitschko later in the night!

BTW, I'm leaving JBB for personal reasons. You will not see me on anymore. It has been fun guys, later.

Pistons had that game won since the beginning of the second half. I saw their hunger.
