Here's a thread made in jest to poke fun at some of the very outlandish doubts people had of LeBron coming into the season. 1) LeBron's not explosive or a good dunker. Some people thought James didn't have a good verticle and that his dunks were simple. I guess that tune changed after seeing his moves this season. 2) LeBron is too slow to be a guard. He only has a forward's quickness at best. This debate got ugly. It evolved beyond that statement too. People expanded that train of thought to say "His first step is crap, his foul line to foul line speed is terrible and his quickness is lacking." 3) LeBron isn't strong enough physically or mentally for an NBA season and needed college. Some people said LeBron's body would break down because it was too weak and that despite his large stature, he wasn't truly as strong as he looked and smaller guys would push him around. Despite having a personal trainer and lifting weights, some said LeBron was only strong for a kid and not strong for a man. Do you have any more that I missed
yup, many many people predicted nothing but failure for lebron, clearly he's proven pretty much every hater wrong, he's had a fantastic season one complaint was that lebron didn't shoot well, and at the beginning of the year he really didn't have a good-looking shot... it has really improved though, he has a couple bad shooting habits still but he's got plenty of time now to work them out and many people overlook his phenomenal passing ability, it is really something, he just needs to work on his ballhandling in addition to his shooting
LeBron has great quickness, but at 6'8 he will come up against quicker guards, hense some troubles. He definately is better off at small forward where he could drive on them at will. But for now when he is at guard, he'll need to work on defensive smarts to counteract his opponents quickness.
4) LeBron needs to be the PG to get assists. Not really true. As long as James gets the ball with regularity period, he'll get dimes. Give him the ball.
