Do you guys remember when we had Voshon Lenard? I cant believe we didnt resign him, he would have been really cheap, Denver took him a bit later on. He is a really great player, and didnt get resigned, I guess you could credit Grunwald OR Peddie for that. THe years before in the offseason, was K.Clark, Del Curry (ppl forget he was the one that hit the clutch 3 in the raps vs sixers playoff game to give Carter the opportunity for the win)., possibly MoPete soon. Voshon would have been so cheap to get too, thats what bothers me, now hes captain of the Nuggets and such a high scoring total and 3 point champion over Stojakovic.. can you imagine if we still had him?

remember? it was last year lol, i hope everyone can remember that

but yea...vochon was asking for more money then we could afford to pay him, but more importantly, he didnt want to stay in toronto so it wasnt a matter of not resigning him, we had to let him go

dell curry wouldnt have found too many minutes in ko's rotation considering hes an absolute siv defensively. he's retired anyways

Also because we thought Lammond Murray would be our Voshon Lenard this year, KO probably wouldn't have played Voshon anyways.

^Its because he didn't trust anyone past Mo Pete (even trusting Mo Pete was a stretch for KO)

We had a thread like this before about previous players. All you can say is that shit happens to every team. Even to the Raptors.

hes actually considered one of the best defenders during his prime seasons. thats why he started for the heat under riley's system.

i dont think vochon was ever considered "one of the best defenders" he was adaquate, and now hes just a siv defensively.

yea we definately should but even with all our bad games and injuries, i think voshon would of made a big difference like last year when everybody was down and injured, he stepped up and played big

now hes old and doesnt moves as quickly but during his best seasons he was considered one of the best defenders at the 2 guard spot in the nba. he was a strong player and had very good quickness laterally.

Anyone see Voshon on fire today, he was saying "It's me and you" to Spreewell after he hit 4 or 5 consecutive baskets and Spree hit a few too.

He was never a "great defender", but he was a pretty good one, and now is above average, and better than Lammond Murray, much much better.

The thing is that he's a good defender but he's very slow, he can't keep up with any quicker guards and is also small for a SG. (6'4)

yeah hes slow now but he used to be faster....

also, he is short for a guard but not "small". he is a very strong player and even at his short height he likes to post up a lot.

Yea he does, he likes the post up and fadeaway but only on the 6'4-6'5 shooting guards, he's doesn't do it on like Tmac or Kobe or VC or any of those guys because it = block or miss.
