How about the Czar Mike Fratello? He sounds like he knows quite abit, and is someone that knows the game a lot and maybe he could be like a Hubie Brown. He seems like he could be someone that will demand good play and also add some of his creativity to the court. He has a very good record as a head coach. But who knows if he wants to coach again. He seems like he has a lot of fun broadcasting.

When do you guys think Muss will be replaced? I think they should just get over with if their going to do it. If they are going to keep him they should say so.

If Mullin intends to replace Musselman with Elie, it will have to wait until the Spurs are out of the playoffs.

And Musselman will make 1.5 mil in the last year of his contract, so that's pretty much standard for a young head coach.

Again, I'd hate to see Musselman go, but I'd rather have a coach and GM that are on the same page, and it doesn't sound like that will happen with Mullin and Musselman.

Musselman is a great coach, but he isn't the type of coach that Mullin want's...Musselman will coach for another team,no doubt, but i figure...Maybe if Mullin can't find a coach that would be good for the Warriors..perhaps he should make himself the Head Coach?????

Doubt that would happen, but that is a thought? :P

If Mullin were both head coach and GM, his focus of attention would be largely split between trying to set the team up for the future and trying to win games. It's like in business management you don't want your CEO to also be your store manager. The short term day to day things go separate from long-term strategic planning. I think that's also why Miami Heat GM Pay Riley didn't want to do the coaching thing this year even though he really loves coaching. There's probably also other big reasons, but I'd say a split focus of attention is a major reason.
