You can list them in descending order if you'd like to. I'm only talking about non-active players here so don't list Shaq or Duncan. Here is my list:

    10. M. Malone
    9. J. West
    8. H. Olajuwon
    7. O. Robertson
    6. K. Abdul-Jabbar
    5. L. Bird
    4. M. Johnson
    3. B. Russell
    2. W. Chamberlin
    1. M. Jordan

I guess Malone and West are the next two guys to go when Shaq and Duncan retire.

I think Shaq and Duncan are already at Olajuwon's level.

^no way. I expect malone to get bumped by shaq probably by the time he retires. but for some reason (i'm not saying it's going to happen), i have a feeling kobe will put up really big numbers next year, and that he, garnett and tim duncan are going to be in the top 15.

Kobe Bryant is listed # 18 and Shaq is listed # 1(dont ask me why) in the book "Who's Better, Who's Best in Basketball" which lists the top 50 players all time.

I'd say Malone or Olajuwon, players are - as said - already at their level

The old people should get respect too... I know it's alot better level on NBA now, but they lead the new generation through every year, they deserves to be there still.

What happened to Karl Malone? I mean he's only 2nd in total points in the history of the league. I would put him at number 10 instead of Moses.

you know, I withdraw my earlier comment.

I agree with Wagner, the game today is a whole different one and based on a whole different level of playing.

All my respect to those guys, and I do not hope that these players will be eliminated from the list. I mean, if that is the system, then eventualy all players will be removed as time flies ..

I think MJ will be on the top of that list forever. No player will be that great ever as the level is in NBA. Many players will maybe be better than MJ the next years, but not to be shown good because it's a totally different level from then and in the future.

That's excactly what I meant. If you measure by todays level of play, THEN the list will be renewed all the time. Don't you agree? And I sure as hell hope that it will not be like that.

    Forresten, hvem er du Wagner?
