guys no matter the format t-Mac does not deserve to be on the all-nba team. j-kidd would be a better fit.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting TimFlem:</div><div class="quote_post"> He hustles does what needs to be done and as long as he get's the W </div> that's the reason some people(not me) believe he shouldn't be all nba, he doesn't get the W

If so please somebody tell me why.</div> I don't know about him hustling that much and doing what needs to be done and I'm not too sure about that wins part because last time I checked the Magic had the league's worst record.
lol, Vince desersves it more than T-Mac, same with Peja, Redd, Bron, Mello and the list goes on and on and on.... Heres mine: PG- Kidd SG- Peja SF- KG PF- Duncan C- Shaq/Ming
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting timduncan021:</div><div class="quote_post">I agree with everything u said. I also dont want to hear this peja over tmac or jermaine over duncan. Compare the stats of peja and tmac. Tmac is way better, and dont tell me about tmac not leading his team to victories. If peja and tmac switched spots, orlando would be losing more games. Nuff said!</div> Why would comparing the stats have anything to do with deciding who deserves to be on the team? You could put up great stats on a lousy team and it all really doesn't matter. I'm not saying T-Mac is this, but I can see why some people feel he should be left off the team. His team is having a rough time trying to get a win with or without him. Putting numbers aside, I think T-Mac could have helped his team in many other ways.. leadership, hustling, playing defense.. I don't think he has really done those things for his team this year. I'm not going to argue the call of putting him on the team though.

I'm actually perfectly fine with that All NBA Team. My big problem though is the fact McGrady is on it. I feel Kobe should have been SG and have Cassell or Kidd at PG. But, that's not official yet for another couple days anyways.
My problem is not that I don't understand how it's a G-G-F-F-C formatt. I've understood that for many years. My problem is that I don't understand how Tracy McGrady can make the first team over Sam Cassell and Jason Kidd. The Point Guard is truely underrated in todays game. A player can lead the league in assists while averaging about 15 ppg and 6 rpg and lead their team to a top 3 seed in the playoffs, but the player who's on the leagues worst team that has a high PPG average will get the first team nod. Kidd should have made it, and if not Kidd then at least Cassell. Also, why is nobody considering Brad Miller? That guy was basically Chris Webber when Chris Webber was out. I'd like to see him get a 2nd or 3rd team nomination.
If a player did not have a significant role in leading their team to the playoffs, he should NOT be considered for first team All NBA. And when your team is as pitiful as Tracy McGrady's, he needs to have stats that simply blow away he competition to even make the 3rd team, in my opinion. As good an individual player as he is, though, this year I don't think he should make any of the teams. Here's my choices: 1st team G - Jason Kidd G - Kobe Bryant F - Kevin Garnett F - Tim Duncan C - Shaquille Oneal 2nd team G - Sam Cassel G - Baron Davis F - Peja Stojakovic F - Jermaine Oneal C - Ben Wallace 3rd Team G - Paul Pierce G - Stephon Marbury F - Carmelo Anthony F - Ron Artest C - Dirk Nowitzki Honorable Mentions (deserve consideration for being on one of the teams): Michael Redd Yao Ming Allen Iverson Tracy McGrady Ray Allen Michael Finley Zach Randolph Amare Stoudamire Steve Nash Elton Brand Latrell Sprewell Richard Jefferson Kenyon Martin Lebron James Vince Carter Pau Gasol
Iverson shouldn't deserve consideration either, he didn't play that well, and he missed a lot of games this season. He also kinda hurt his team a little while he wa playing this year. Andre Miller, Shawn Marion and Lamar Odom could be considered too
1st team: G- Jason Kidd G- Kobe Bryant F- Kevin Garnett F- Tim Duncan C- Shaq O'Neal 2nd team: G- Stephon Marbury G- Tracy McGrady F- Lamar Odom F- Jermaine O'Neal C- Yao Ming 3rd team: G- Baron Davis G- Sam Cassell F- Peja Stojakovic F- Zach Randolph C- Ben Wallace Honorable Mentions: Michael Redd Elton Brand Amare Stoudemire Carmelo Anthony Steve Nash Richard Jefferson LeBron James Shawn Marion Ray Allen Carlos Boozer Pau Gasol Vince Carter Kenyon Martin Latrell Sprewell Allen Iverson Corey Maggette Brad Miller Mike Bibby Marquis Daniels (his play of late) Dwayne Wade
I'm perfectly fine with the team. Tracy McGrady did do alot. He is now again the scoring champ. And scored 62 points in a game this year. His teammate might have not tried to get the W but he did.

He played like a poor man's KG this season. But I think his 1st half of the year was better then his 2nd half. And the 2nd half was really when the Heat made their playoff push. But he had an excellent comeback season from the injuries. And bad reputation. It would be nice to see the NBA reward positve change. it would be nice to see him make the 3rd team but I doubt it. The NBA doesnt think like that. They will try to fit as many big market names on those 3 teams as possible.

There have been a lot of players who have neared it but have been benched. McGrady is just putting up great stats on a crappy team, and he's not helping that team to win. If McGrady is really one of the five best players in the NBA, then why can't Orlando make the playoffs in the East? It's rediculous. I guarantee you that players like Pau Gasol or Shawn Marion could carry the same average McGrady does, if they got that many MPG and touches. Here is how it should have gone down - <font size="1">* The NBA considers Tim Duncan a F, so I'm not going to bend the rules and make him a C. </font> <u>1st Team</u> G - Jason Kidd G - Kobe Bryant F - Kevin Garnett F - Tim Duncan C - Shaquille O'Neal <u>2nd Team</u> G - Sam Cassell G - Tracy McGrady F - Peja Stojakovic F - Jermaine O'Neal C - Ben Wallace <u>3rd Team</u> G - Stephon Marbury G - Baron Davis F - Ron Artest F - Lamar Odom C - Brad Miller <u>Honorable Mention Team</u> G - Paul Pierce G - LeBron James F - Carmello Anthony F - Dirk Nowitzki C - Yao Ming ANY QUESTIONS? <div class="quote_poster">Quoting Slow Mo:</div><div class="quote_post"> 2nd team: G- Stephon Marbury G- Tracy McGrady F- Lamar Odom F- Jermaine O'Neal C- Yao Ming 3rd team: G- Baron Davis G- Sam Cassell F- Peja Stojakovic F- Zach Randolph C- Ben Wallace Honorable Mentions: Marquis Daniels (his play of late) Dwayne Wade</div> Don't you think that Peja has done and proven more this season than Lamar Odom? I've been following Odom's stats all year, since he was on my fantasy team. They've been decent; however, Peja's stats are better. Not only that, his team is better and he brings more to the table. I also dissagree with you placing Marbury and McGrady over Cassell. It's arguable as to who has the better stats, but your missing the point that stats don't make a player great; his play does. On your Honorable Mention team, I think you shouldn't have mentioned the last two rookies. They have been playing decent, but nothing worth All-NBA Team consideration.
Well, Shawn Marion actually plays more minutes per game than McGrady - 40.7 to 39.8 ......... So I guess that's not really an issue ............ Gasol averages 31 mpg ............... As for the touches these players get, I can agree to a certain point. I mean, the Magic haven't really got any scorers except for Mac. The Suns have Stoudemire and Johnson in addition to Marion. And the Grizzliez have actually got a lot of weapons on their roster .. (Posey, Wells, Swift, Williams, Miller .........)

However, when your team's the worst in the league, putting up 30 ppg like McGrady or Iverson doesn't mean that much.
I totally agree, but you gotta give it to them though for trying .. Because their team and players really don't leave them much of a choice but scoring as much as they can ...

McGrady I at least put on my Third Team. He has a similar team to what Jason Kidd had when he came to New Jersey. Kidd went to the Finals, and McGrady has the worst team in the league. I know that Orlando's supporting cast isn't the best, but if he had guys like Payton, Malone, and O'Neal on his team he wouldn't average what he averages. I'd expect him to average only half. McGrady should be getting his teammates involved like Cassell and Kidd do anyway.
