<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Antawn Jamison will receive the NBA's sixth-man award when it is announced Friday, a source familiar with the voting totals said Wednesday. That's no great shock. But what would be a stunner is if Jamison cannot play in Game 3 on Saturday. Jamison's hamstrings tightened up during Game 2 on Tuesday, and he could not play in the second half. The 6-9 forward doesn't believe the problem will linger, and given that he has played 328 consecutive regular-season games and two in the playoffs, the chances of him missing Game 3 would seem remote.</div> Full Story.
I thought this was a quite leak. I think Manu Ginobili should have taken this award easily. If not Manu, Al Harrington next. Jamison was sort of a shock to me to win this, but I guess he has been an off the bench impact on the Dallas Mavericks since he has arrived.
I totally disagree with you guys. Jamison desserved this award over Ginobili. Jamison only started 2 games!!! Look at Ginobili's stats. PPG 12.8 RPG 4.5 APG 3.8 SPG 1.77 BPG .21 FG% .418 FT% .802 3P% .359 MPG 29.4 Now look at Jamison's PPG 14.8 RPG 6.3 APG .9 SPG 1.01 BPG .37 FG% .535 FT% .748 3P% .400 MPG 29.0 There's no competition. Do yo thing Jamison.
I dont know, it shouldnt always be stats, Manu brings a lot of energy and swagger to the game But Jamison does put up more productive stats.
