Man I was glad to get through this one with a win. The #9 defensive rating might not change significantly. We took a hit on passing defense for sure, but we held rushing yards down and should climb in the column as we fall a little in the other. Hopefully we will still be top 10-12 overall. The next 2 (road games) should be winnable at Tampa Bay and at New Orleans. Then the Patriots come to town. Do you think Marty, Al and Gunther are already watching that Steelers tape. I just hope we don't overlook one of the next 2 opponents. A win at Tampa will leave us at 4-4 at the midpoint, and Denver has been kind enough to drop 2 in a row for us. They play Houston next. Houston will win that game, I'm calling it here first. As always...Go Chiefs!
Man that was some bad defense. I take that back, that was no defense. Your team made just enough stops so you give them a little credit, but indy could have put 11 sacks of leaves on the field and you would have had same result.
Defense wasn't great, but that sack of leaves comment was inaccurate. Indy punted the ball 4 times when we stopped them. We stopped them on a fake punt situation once. We held E. James (didn't he go to Miami) to nothing basically. (33 total rushing yards). Peyton put 472 on us passing, but Wesley came up with the big INT at the end when we needed to stop their 2 minute drill.
I said your team made the stops, i meant indy could have used 11 sacks of leaves in place of thier defense, they did not stop chiefs all day
