<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">New Orleans? Why isn't that little Darrell Armstrong, lending his heart and hustle and leadership to the Hornets' playoff efforts? The Magic let Armstrong go last offseason because they felt -- and I'm not making this up -- that his leadership skills would cramp Tracy McGrady's leadership skills. Boston. That's where we find Chucky Atkins. Chucky, remember, was also part of that 1999-2000 "Heart & Hustle" team that the Magic disbanded to make room for Grant Hill to rewrite medical journals. Atkins played pretty well four years for the Detroit Pistons and now with the Boston Celtics. Hey, speaking of the Pistons, let's see who we can root for over in . . . Detroit. That's where we'll find a third member from that "Heart & Hustle" team. Ben Wallace. Need a big man to clog up the middle? Then Big Ben's your man. He's probably the NBA's best defensive player. Come to think of it, he was voted as such last year. Think the Magic could use someone like Ben Wallace in the low post? Need we ask? Ben is also fast becoming one of the most beloved athletes in Detroit. Yes, Detroit. Not Orlando. </div> Full Story Amazing. We have former players from Minnesota, Boston, New Orleans, Memphis, Detroit, Sacramento, and Los Angeles all in the playoffs.
yeah its true it happens to ex-magics but to a lot of other teams too. take the raptors for example. players that r in the playoffs now and were raptors before: corllious williamson - pistons doug christie - kings lindsay hunter - pistons rafer alston - heat brian skinner - bucks lenny wilkins (well, hes a coach) - knicks chauncey billups - pistons jonathan bender (drafted by raps though) - pacers then players that made it to the playoffs after leaving the raps but not this season: t-mac carlos arroyo damon stoudmire keon clark ...i can probably list more that i cant think of right now at the moment. anyway, my point is basically that this happens to other teams too; not just orlando.
This isnt about the raptors.. So.. Really, it was just a fact.. if you wanna go about that.. Maggette, Harpring, Billups, Atkins, Wallace, Armstrong, Miller, Troy Hudson, Earl Boykins.. There are people that used to be on Orlando who went onto bettter things.. We arnt talking about Toronto.... Sorry Adding to that list earlier.. Bllups, Miller, Hudson, Boykins... Yeah

I remember a topic similar to this one, but talking about a team that let go many players that ended up having good seasons later on. I think this is basically the same, and like harry_balls5 said, this happens to every team. Players move around so much that its more than likely that a lot of your ex-players are going to be in the playoffs. Players just move around and go in different direction, it's just how it is in the NBA.
