1st team - PG - Jason Kidd SG - Kobe Bryant F - Kevin Garnett F - Tim Duncan C - Shaquille O'Neal 2nd team - PG - Sam Cassell SG - Tracy McGrady SF - Peja Stojakovic PF - Ben Wallace C - Jermaine O'Neal 3rd team - PG - Baron Davis SG - Michael Redd SF - Ron Artest PF - Dirk Nowitzki C - Yao Ming Saw it on ABC during Halftime.
Byron Scott was saying that Mcgrady should've been on the first team. I guess he's still kinda bitter about Jason Kidd. Peja King does have a point, and I would've put J-Oneal on the first team over Shaq this year.
Those choices look good to me. I thought that Jermaine Oneal was a PF and Ben and Dirk played C. Not sure about McGrady being included on the All-NBA teams when he played on the worst team in the league. And I'd put Pierce and Marbury ahead of Michael Redd, but that's a close one.

<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Peja King:</div><div class="quote_post">Peja deserved Kobe's place.. all i have to say</div> Peja is a forward.
How did Mcgrady make second team? He was out with an injury for part of the season. Yao made third team. Woot! Woot!
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Peja King:</div><div class="quote_post">yeah JO should be on the first team too because he was on the best team in the L this year</div> Indiana is a good team, but they are not that much better than the Lakers. Particularly when you consider the conference they play in (there are at least 3 teams in the West which could have won 61 games playing in that conference). And Jermaine Oneal is not NEARLY as valuable a player as Shaquille Oneal. I mean, its not even close.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting durvasa:</div><div class="quote_post">Peja is a forward.</div> he could be consider like a guard because he's playling like a shooting forward..
I think Byron was being honest, Jason had a lot of help, imo two allstars (yes RJ) T-Mac just had a bad team year but still got his dirt. Dou guys think T-Mac will comeback with a vengence next year.

Indiana only had the best record this season and J-Oneal is a big reason for that. Shaq has had an off year so it wouldn't be a travisty if J-Oneal made the first team. And J-Oneal played enough of the center position to take Shaqs spot.
it would be better if they choose the TOP 15 players of the season.. because there's a lack of center in the L
<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">STC shouldnt JO be the Pf, and big ben the C?</div> If I were to put a team out, I would have JO in the paint at 6-11, and Ben at PF at 6-8. What the hell do I know....maybe your right.

J.Kidd help you get to the finals 2 years in a row while you were a coach. And any job that b.scott gets in the future will be due large in part because he went to those two finals. So to take a cheap shot at the guy that got you there was kind of a chump move by him. Kidd played like an MVP for B.Scott all the way up until this season. B.Scott still cant live with the fact that it was time for a change in New Jersey. Iam not going to say that kidd was in the right leading the charge to get Scott booted. But if you seen some of the coaching moves B.Scott made in the finals last year, then you can tell that it was time for a change. And it was basically a team decision to get rid of Scott. The Nets as a whole stop playing for Scott this season not just Jason. Scott was always know as a player who wouldnt back down from a battle. And he was somewhat the same as the coach of the Nets. But this personal battle with Kidd, its time to let it go. He is a national broadcaster now. And people expect or would appericate his non biased views, on such subject matter. I had all the respect in the world for B.Scott until he took that cheapshot on Kidd at the half-time. He handle the Nets situation with alot of class all season when ABC broadcasted Nets games until then, But Anyway....... Congrats to my man Sam Cassell for making the 2nd team. and respect to everyone else on those teams as well. A few selections a questionable but still overall the league's best this season was represented on those 3 teams.

The NBA determine the team by the position that the individual player play's on the court. You can say that Tracy McGrady should be on the First Team instead of Kobe but not Jason Kidd. The only way he could have get that spot over Jason Kidd was only if he played at least 30 games at the point spot. Anyways I'm just happy that Sam Cassell and Michael Redd made at least one of the three teams.
I just thought that Tracy shold have been on first. Talking about injuries, Kidd was out for a little part of the season too. But, I guess I'm happy with it.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Player4Ever:</div><div class="quote_post">Kidd first team, T Mac second team, thats just not right</div> Have you taken both teams success into ANY effect WHATSOEVER? T-Mac, claimed by many as a top 5 player in the NBA, can't lead his team into the playoffs, let alone a respectable record. You can talk all ya want about stats, but this goes beyond that. T-Mac IMO is the best scorer in the league, he can score at will anywhere on the court at any time when he has the ball, and this is also evidenced by his last 2 scoring titles. But if T-Mac doesn't give a rat's ass about defense, and instead runs his mouth to the media. I'm not saying off the court issues should matter when it comes to awards, just saying that he won't play harder to get results, instead complains to get his way Don't get me wrong, I love T-Mac's playing style (aside from the leadership), but I'm gonna go as far to say that Michael Redd or Ron Artest deserve that spot ahead of him on the 2nd Team.
<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">he could be consider like a guard because he's playling like a shooting forward..</div> Could is the key word, not many people would vote him as a guard so their was no chance of him getting it because Duncan and KG are forwards. <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Does Tracy McGrady play the PG? Yes definately, Cassell and Redd get no respect, people stil ldon't realize that Milwaukee was predicted to be last in the league, and they also lost TJ and had Skinner out for a long time and still did good with Redd leading them. Also team success has a lot to do with it, if your team sucks you have to put up pretty good stats to make it and you likely won't make first team if your team was bad.
