It seems to me that writting stuff about the games is pretty much pointless. The fans know what to expect. The purpose of these threads is just to have a place to discuss the game. Anyway, I'm predicting a Grizzlies win: 89-86. The Pyramid will be a huge factor. Although I hate these bandwagoners for not carring about the team the last 3 years but all of a sudden showing up, I can't say that I'm dissapointed that the Grizzlies are selling out. For the first time in it's history, I felt the Pyramid was intimidating last Thursday (At least that's how I saw it from the $100 nosebleeds.) The Grizzlies need to get offensive rebounds and limit the Spurs fastbreak points. I'm hoping we can be the first team in history to come back from being down 0-3. Last year the Pistons came back from being down 1-3 to beat the Magic. Maybe we can pull off the same kind of run. Go Grizz! :dancepart
The Spurs will sweep tonight. The Grizz has a grand opportunity to steal a game in Game 3 but failed to. The Spurs are professionals and will get this series over as soon as possible. Spurs by 7.
1st Quarter The Spurs have a commanding 32-21 lead after the first. The Spurs are looking unbeatable. The Grizz have no answer for Parker. He is destroying this team and picking them apart. It is fun to watch. Can the Grizz get back into this one or will will it be yet another blow out? I'm guessing the latter. 2nd Quarter The Spurs add a point to their first quarter lead and now lead 57-45. Every time the Grizz make a mini run, the Spurs have an answer. Thats a championship team. Parker has dominated this first half scoring 17 points and getting into lane at will. JWill just can't keep up with him. Final The Spurs won this one with a wire to wire job. The Spurs dominated the first round of the playoffs with a SWEEP. What a statement from the defending champions. I hope the Lakers will be ready. Once again, Tony Parker absolutely had his way in this game and gave the Grizz virtually no chance.
The Spurs is . I was really hoping that the Grizz would at least get 1 game. Oh well, can't wait for the Lakers and Spurs matchup. It should be great.
Oh man, that is going to be one hell of a series. Let the trash talking begin...oh wait...the Lakers have to win first.
The Spurs are playing so well right now, they couldn't of picked a time to start playing better. They've got a big break between now and the second round, which will help them especially if the Rockets/Lakers goes out to 7 games(very unlikely now though). They're on a 15 game winning streak, and are playing like champions should. Tim Duncan is leading the team very well and playing even better, but he's not the only one playing well. Tony Parker had 29 points and 13 assists in game 4 vs. Memphis. They will be hard for any team to stop in a 7 game series.
Was Miller being chicken again? How did Posey and Bowen defend or do overall in the series? Did they cause any major problems? Was Jay his normal good playing self, how'd Hubie do?
Spurs are looking good no doubt about it, Tony Parker with yet another brillant game...He has averaged 21 and 7 so far for the first round. Spurs v Lakers will be a great series
