MSG needed a good cleaning...too many whiners! [IMG] Now it's either Pistons or the Bucks.

Happy for the sweep. Not happy the way we shot the ball in the half-court in game 3. And not happy the way we shot free throws in the 4th quarter in game 4. Both of those against a better team would have cost us those 2 wins. We need to improve both of those aspects of our game in the next round against the Pistons or Bucks.

This was a good series from the Nets, they played a physical series and didn't get intimidated. They swept Detroit last season(although they are a very different team now) and are looking good for the next round whoever they play. Kenyon Martin was playing extremely well today, he put up 36 points and 13 rebounds. They're are still things to work on, like 3pt shooting (11% in game 4) but other than that they are definitely a team who will be hard to beat in the East.

Some people were picking the Knicks to go all the way and the Grizz. They both got swept. I thought the Knicks would take them to 6 games though. The Nets look like they may 3peat. But I'm still sticking with Detroit even though they lost that second game. Triple dratz.

Great game by my man KMart. Now they have a lot of time to rest and get ready. It will do wonders for their knees. Plus as Henacy stated, they need to do some work and improvement on taking care of the ball and FT shooting.

kmart was straight up a beast last night. i hope he produces like that for us for every game or every other game. it was a good game for us. im glad we ended the series on a close, tough game like game4 was. if we blew them out or had an easy win, then i think we would've thought we were better than what we are. we were able to blow out them and beat them in their game. we played good defense and took advantage of marburys mistakes. the long break is good for injuries, but i hope game 1 doesnt look like we had 8-10days off or however long it is. we need to come out with a fire and play like its game 7 in game 1. game 1 will be important whether its det, which most likely will, or mil, who i think can upset det. whoever we face wont have as long of a break as we do, so they might be able to flow better than we would, so our practices need to keep us on our toes. and coach frank said in his post game that kidd and kmart will set the tempo in the practices and make sure they do what they need to do.

things that i will remember from this series (just random notes/thoughts/idead):
kmarts 36pt game, sweatney playing a nice series for a rookie(nice offensive rebounding and i think he just made himself a factor for next yrs knick team),tim thomas' crying and not backing it up, kidd and kmart came out healthy for game1 and stayed healthy, vin baker showed signs of the old baker in game4, deke's playing time gives me the impression he is gone next yr,marbury's bad decision making and dissappearance in the second half of games 1,2 and 3, penny had a very nice series(most consistant knick all series), frank williams seems to have a nice future(needs to improve shooting, but hes young),the smart coaching moves by coach frank to double team marbury which was basically the difference in the series and the final thing ill remember from this series is coach thompson saying(in game 4) 'if kenyon martin is a fugazy, i'll take 12 of him'

overall, series is everything i expect us to do. rodney is struggling, which is not good news for us and collins needs to stop picking up stupid fouls and play better defense. rj's jumper wasnt as consistant this series compared to the end of the reg season. but our health is lookin good, so onward to round two!
