Of the following players, who do you think might sign with the Heat for the minimum (1 year contract)? If any.
    * = restricted FA

Chris Andersen - would fit in well with his energy, athleticism and defense. (I think he'll want more $$ tho)

Mehmet Okur - would be good, can rebound well, nice defensive presence too. No way he signs for the min. but he'd fit well.

Adonal Foyle - gives us a big body who can block shots. might be too slow.

Stanislav Medvedenko - played VERY well when shaq was out, u think we have a shot?

Stromile Swift* - hopefully he signs a 1 year deal with memphis & we can take a shot at him next year.

Gary Trent - started the season pretty well before getting hurt. your thoughts?

Robert Traylor - for some reason i've always liked him. too slow?

Keon Clark - this would be real nice at the min. if he's 100%

Antonio McDyess - same as above (might be worth a gamble anyway)

Jarron Collins - showed signs of improvement throughout the season

Etan Thomas* - same as Swift.

Quentin Richardson - i'm just dreaming here (not that they even need a SG)

Why do you keep making dumb threads? The Heat are in the playoffs and are doing well obviously they will keep the same people around next year since it worked for them this season

Emanuel Ginobili could be good. His style of play meshes with Wade's since they both like to run the floor and slash to the rim. Also, he won't mind coming off the bench for a season or two before Jones gets old.

I don't like any of those options actually. I think that they should try to trade eddie out, get some good big guys in (i.e: Adonal Foyle), get Brent Barry and boom, u have an eastern championship contender. Wade + Barry in the backcourt is a lethal duo.

You need someone stronger and more dominant than Brian Grant. He tries hard, he's good and has done well for you, but it just doesn't cut it, you're going to need someone premier in order to truly be a force.

As for who I have in mind, you could possibly try to get your hands on the Pacers, Foster. Or even Camby, they'd fit well on your team since all they pretty much know is defense, strength and size. A real good PG like Nash wouldn't hurt, that way Wade could become the SG if Jones was to outlive his usefulness, this being a back up measure of course.

Or try SJax out for size for another bench or starter position. Maybe he could work well with the Heat.

My last choice I feel would be very good for you guys, Malik Rose. He'd bring hustle to the team, sort of like your very own Brian Cardinal. You need someone who "always" has the will and heart to win. That lacks in your team a lot of the time. Plus he's great at rebounding and a decent scorer, and a great guy, that's always good for the team, someone likeable.

Edit: Didn't notice that they had to be 1 year choices. If that is the case I'd take Foyle, he has what I said about Malik Rose, except more defense and presence, not to mention more veterancy. As for the mention of Andersen, I think someone like him or Foster would do very well, but being very good at what they do, they could be very costly. My other mentioned choices would hopefully be longterm.

If these are only one year choices, then I'd got with Adonal Foyle, he's a good big bofy coming off the bench, and if we can land Mark Blount, we'll become 2 deep at the center position.
At PF we have Halsem backing up Odom, at the 3 we have Rasual Butler behind Caron Butler, and now we just need to strengthen our backcourt reserves.
Maybe sign Rafer back, we also even have a draft pick, and some guys available could be Rober Swift (but we got all those centers already), Dorrell Wright, Luke Jackson, Sasha Vujacic, 2 other centers, and others depending on workouts.
I'm thinking we try to get a SG in the draft, or a big PG, Sasha Vujacic is supposedly a big PG/SG (6'7), but at 19th is he worth taking. Swinging a deal with Eddie Jones, and our draft pick to another team for something like Livingston and someone else would be great, but why would they want to give Livingston away like that.

<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">In the Heat's sights might be players such as Boston center Mark Blount, Utah point guard Carlos Arroyo and Milwaukee point guard Brevin Knight. Milwaukee center Brian Skinner can opt out of his contract as can Minnesota guard Troy Hudson. Both could help the Heat.

The easy approach for the Heat would be to keep the starting five together, persuade Alston to stay, and with Haslem already under contract, add two pieces to the puzzle through the two exceptions.

But that might not represent enough improvement to get to the Eastern Conference finals.

Then again, the way the Heat improved late this season, a couple of free-agent tweaks might be all that's necessary.

Van Gundy knows what the free-agent market is about.

    "It's all money," he said.

But he hopes the Heat's style and results make it attractive.

"I think people look around and say, 'Hey, that team is pretty good and on the come,' " Van Gundy said.

Maintaining that evaluation is what this off-season is about for the Heat.</div>

I know Mark Blount has a home in Miami, and he is a free agent and he said he was intrested in going to Miami,I think they need a quality big man like Blount.

I'd like Blount, Camby or Stro

Either re-sign Skip or sign Arroyo
