I feel that Jerry West was accumulating all of this talent so he would have the opportunity to trade for big time talent. Well it seems like Chris Webber is on the outs in Sacramento and they are looking to trade him (even though that is just foolish), but what if Jerry West did this deal with them: Lorenzon Wright, Mike Miller, Earl Watson and Michael Dickerson (he's retiring right?) for Chris Webber, Jabari Smith and a 2nd round pick. Now even after that with T-Mac being available what if they trade Gasol, Battier and Wells for T-Mac and the Orlando 2nd round pick. Now that gives Memphis a lineup like this: C - Jake Tsaklidas (re-signed for cheap) PF - Chris Webber SF - James Posey SG - Tracy McGrady PG - Jason Williams Bench C - Jabari Smith PF - Bo Outlaw SF/PF - Ryan Humphrey SF - Theron Smith SG - Dahntay Jones PG - Troy Bell I think that would give Memphis a chance to win a title next year. What do you guys think? Am I just an idiot or do you think the Logo has any shot at pulling off a few of these deals. I also think Webber will be traded for less than desired players because the Kings want guys who won't cost that much and Miller gives them a guy to take over for an aging Doug Christie.
Once again why do the Griz want to change up there line-up they are in the playoffs and the team works well together no one is going anywhere.

The team finally got it together... minus the playoff losses. I wouldn't really change anything with that team except if it was something small.
I think the J-Will experiment has to be relegated to the backup role. His play down the stretch in games 3 and 4 were awful. He was toasted every time on the pick and roll by Parker and his shot selection were dreadful. He's made some impressive progress but he's worst than Watson who plays much better D and better shot selection.
I never saw the point in making up trades to be honest. Chris Webber and Tracy McGrady will never be Grizzlies. As far as trading for a superstar, I don't see a superstar playing in Hubie Brown's system. Maybe if Brown retires and a guy like Riley comes in, we can have a superstar. However, in the current ten man rotation the most minutes a player will get is 30 mpg (like Gasol). If Jason Williams is having difficulties with his playing time, then I guarantee you that McGrady will as well. His ego is bigger than his game. Also like others have said earlier, why trade anyone? The team is winning. Think about this... the Grizzlies are the third youngest team in the NBA and were the 6th seed in the playoffs. Think of how good this group of youngsters can be in a year or two. Bringing in McGrady would really ruin the Karma we've got going on. <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post"> I think the J-Will experiment has to be relegated to the backup role. We've had some great debates in this forum about who should start... Watson or Williams. Like you've said, Watson would be the better player to have in the game for the final minutes. However, Jason Williams is definitely the guy you want in for the bulk of the game. Realistically, Jason Williams would not accept a bench role though. I'd expect him to do something drastic if he were benched, such as demand a trade or refuse to play. He's another player like McGrady... an egomaniac.

JWill avg. about 13 points in the spurs serious and he was not taking a lot of shots. JWill will is a STARTER, yea JWill got roustead right what about Watson, Posey and Miller? Posey did absolutely nothing in the Spurs series!
