"If you think Tony Parker is better than Manu Ginobili, you need to stop drinking before you come in here." -- Barkley, to Kenny.

Reading Barkley is (almost) always the promise of a good laugh. Do you think like him that kenny should stop drinking? Or , in more conventional way , do you agree with is statement that Gino is better than Tony?
IMO I totally agree with Sir Charles

No way. How can he be better?

Parker is the leader of this team, meaning he makes them go. Could you imagine of Parker didn't play in this series with the Grizz? What Tony Parker brings to this team is irreplacable.

I would never rid myself or replace either. They're both building blocks, upcoming superstars, they haven't even begun to breakout. They both offer something a lot of players never would. Ever since this season, sure Parker was kind of inconsistent in the beginning but he's grown, he passes and plays a lot smarter, he's even improved overall.

As for Ginobili, there is no need to talk about him. We know what he's good at, everything. There is not really any comparison. But if I were to choose, I'm sorry to say I'd pick Ginobili, he seems to be the more versatile and willing to take the fall in battle, better bulk for your buck. I love Parker, but Ginobili does more. I'm not saying he's better though. They're both simply extremely good, providers for the cause, that is the NBA's Gold.

Manu is a huge spark whenever he enters the game and has been playing great basketball for the last 2 months or so but Tony Parker is the guy that gets this S.A team going. Steve Kerr mentioned it best when he said the other day "This is Tim's and TP's team" meaning no longer has Tim Duncan got to carry as much of the load as he used to do. So far in the playoffs Parker is averaging 21 points 7 assists on 52% shooting as well as 68% from downtown. People forget this guy is still only 22 years old...Easily the quickest point guard in the NBA.

He is far more important than Manu is, without Tony the Spurs look lost on offense.

I have to go with Manu,Parker is a good point guard but Ginobili can do everything Parker can do and more. He's athletic,he's smart, he plays good D, he hustles he can penetrate or shoot the three. It's all positive for Ginobili,Parker is good but I dont think he is as consistant as Manu is.

<div class="quote_poster">Quoting B-22:</div><div class="quote_post">I have to go with Manu,Parker is a good point guard but Ginobili can do everything Parker can do and more.</div>Thats where you are wrong. He cannot run the offense the way Parker does. Like AllNet said, without Parker running the show they look lost out there. Parker also doesn't turn the ball over like Manu does.

Yeah thats true Parker is a better point guard, but Manu is the better all around player in my opinion.

Both players are very young and equally important to the Spurs. Manu is very athletic and is a big spark off the bench. He can sometimes make great plays but he has sometimes taken bad decisions and turn the ball over. Tony is very quick and runs the offense of the team. He makes great passes. Both players have their pros and cons. It is very hard to compare and chose who is better but I think Tony is a better player. Both players will turn into great players.

The word for Manu is hustle. He tries the harder than most everybody in the league. He is also smart and consistent when Parker is not.

i think in the long run Tony is the man we can depend on
but Manu is also as important because he does the thing's that
Parker doesnt or anyone else on the team.

both are great and kind of have a similar game. still, tony is the more experienced one and he leads the team, manu works extremely hard and gets the team play more vividly. But who is the better one? You cant really say that.

Manu and the additon of Barry will be the reason the Spurs stay on top in the west. Without Manu and Barry, the SPURs would not be up there.

Im with the Manu supporters. Parker is good. Manu is better.

For someone to see every game that is played in SA
I would have to say Manu is better at this time.
Last year when Parker was hurt Manu played the point and was our back up at the end of the year.
Manu can play three positions compaired to Parker (only one)
not only that but Manu plays on both sides of the court wish is more important right now.
