Now i'm a true nba fan. I take offense when shows like PTI talk about how boring the nba has become. All they seem to talk about is College hoops, football, and baseball. While i consider nba basketball to be the most exciting game in the world, I must say, this years first round has been a huge bust. Every series seems to be very lop sided, which is to be expected in some respects. But games are being decided by upwards of 20, 25 and even 30 points. Thats ridiculous. I don't care how bad you are outmatched, if you are a playoff team, you shouldn't lose by 20 on your court. Thats just sad. Memphis was a huge bust, I mean sure they are playing the defending champs, with one of the most dominante players in the game, but Duncan didn't even play that well in this series. He didn't have to. HE had a few good games, but i think he coasted, saving himself for the next round when the real heavy hitting starts. The Knicks, celtics and bucks look to be little more than road apples. The best series I think so far has been the Lakers-Rockets. It should be 3-1 rockets if it wasen't for some tight calls, great late game play by kobe, and Yao fouling out late last game. I hope the second round can produce some tighter series, or at least more close games.
I agree completely. The only series i've enjoyed watching is the Bucks (root for the home-town team) and Pistons and the Lakers and Rockets.
I think that the Nuggets still have a chance to make their series with the Wolves interesting if they win game 4, but if they dont they will lose in 5. But so far I think Rockets-Lakers has been the most interesting series so far. I enjoyed watching my Nets sweep the Knicks, K-Mart kept me interested.
I thought the Mavs were gonna win todays game and make it a series because I don't think they can go back to Sac and get a win. And yeah I agree with this 1st round series being a bust. To many sweeps.
Only series worth watching: Lakers-Rockets Mavs-Kings Hornets-Heat (to a much lesser extent) worst series: Indy-Boston...man that was horrible...

As a Nets fan I enjoyed watching Nets cream the Knicks. Besides, they had some close games as well. I agree about the Houston-Lakers series. It's the tightest so far. Lakers just have enough experience to close the games for them.
After Rockets-Lakers, I've enjoyed the Wolves-Nuggets series. Mainly just to see how Carmelo does in his first playoffs outing.

It will render teams that much more tired, increase the unlikelyhood of an upset, and forces us to watch 1 more game of a boston-indy series (no offense to bean town fans, but that was pretty bad, gl in the draft with those 3 first rounders, get a good BIG man to team with pierce.
The games arent that bad,I mean sure there is a few bad series but I think there is more good than bad a series that is good now is the Nuggets T-Wolves series, the Rockets Lakers series is alright but I dont like it that much because I know the Lakers will win in the end.The games will get even better later on in the playoffs.
I just hate the blowouts. No one wants to watch a PLAYOFF game and see a team up by 20. I dont care whos playing but games like that are just boring and wasteful. If the winner can be determined after 10 minutes of play.. something is wrong. The Boston/Pacer series was a pefect example and it just goes to show the difference between a number 1 and 8 seed. Last year was funny as hell--the Magic were up 3-1 then mcgrady says "Its nice to finally get to the second round"
