<div class="quote_poster">Quoting shapecity:</div><div class="quote_post">I'm glad I've been proven wrong in this game so far. The Lakers have a 20 point lead after a dominating third quarter outscoring the Rockets 25-9. Arguably the key to the game has been Rick Fox only being allowed to play 2 minutes.</div>

lol I AGREE! Although I've liked seeing Fox over the lats few years, this year he really is a waste of minutes out there. His defense is struggling, and he can't shoot anything. He's like a dead man on the floor, almost like we're playing 4v5 sometimes. I like the way Jackson is playing Fisher and Payton instead and giving them more time, as well as Kareem Rush. Great close out game by the Lakers. See ya next year Yao!

This is kinda off topic but, has anyone seen Purple N Gold lately? I haven't seen him in over 2 weeks and I'm kinda surprised by that since the playoffs have started..[IMG]

I agree, KG is a great player but KB is alot better in alot of ways, as most of you have said he is Mr. Cluch

Great elimination game displayed by our Lakers last night. In the first half, we didn't jumpstart well to our offense, we allowed the Rockets to play their game and get comfortable within their system, but in the second half the Lakers completely shut down the Houston Rockets and sent them home. I believe at one point during the game the Rockets only shot 14% from the field. Is that aggressive defense or what?? The players of the game definitely was Kobe Bryant. This man clearly has ice in his veins. After spending all day in Colorado, flying back to Los Angeles and clearing looking fatigued as he entered the Laker tunnel, he comes out and scores 31 points, and dishes out 10 assists. He did everything we thought he'd do. Stuck to the gameplan by keeping his teammates involved at all times, he found his outside shot that we haven't seen much since Game 2, and he found ways to penetrate to the basket and put the Rockets D on their heels. Alongside Kobe, his supporting cast played terrific. Karl Malone continued his scoring surge with 18 pts on 7/14 shooting. Shaq although he didn't shoot that many FG attempts scored 12 on 6/13 shooting, and yes that block on Yao Ming as he fell over was just entertaining to watch. I'll find that picture somewhere. Slava Medvedenko, our role player, 4/5 from the field 12 pts. Very impressive. Now if he can be consistent with those numbers, maybe I wouldn't worry about him shooting so much. I'm still waiting on Gary Payton. Taking only four field goal attempts and making two. Perhaps he can break out of his shell against the Spurs and be the scorer we all know he's capable of being.

Now it's on to San Antonio. The defending world champions. The team that knocked us out last year in our quest to have four consecutive rings. It will be a battle indeed. The question is, what team will remain standing??

I haven't seen Purple N Gold recently. I remember the last time I talked with him, he said he was too distracted playing the EA Sports MVP Baseball 2004 game, and that it was really hard to focus on JBB. Oh well, if he doesn't come back, we'll always find new people that care about being here.

I'm sure If Lakers win the title this board will have no problem gaining more fans, I guess that can be both a postive and a negative.

Wat a game...I fell asleep at half time though, but the Highlights were nice. Kobe is so damn good. He had a court date, a plane flight and he still manages to amaze people. We came out in the first half sluggish, but then things just clicked. Ohh man...Lakers vs. Spurs...this is sweet.
