I think they are going to try to get the stadium up by next year. Hopefully, they will have enough time to get it up.
The arena looks nice, I just hope that the fans from charlotte are as enthusiastic as from the ones 5-6 years ago.
Bobcats arena... The Charlotte Bobcats will play their 1st year at the old Charlotte Colesium. They will play in their new arena their 2nd year. The people of Charlotte (and the surrounding areas) are REALLY excited about our new team!!!
Let me ask somewhat of an offtopic question. How can you list the Bobcats as your favorite team, when there is no team?
The answer.... I've been asked this alot. First off, we DO have a team right now....just not in the sense of basketball players. However, we will get players shortly (June 22/23). The team we have now is all upper management analyzing each and every NBA game, processing all that raw data into strategies that our team will use next season. Charlotte was ripped-off with the Hornets. There is an uncanny sense of relief now that we have a team. The Hornets (i.e. George Shinn and Ray Woolridge (Hornets owners)) were a bunch of cheap bastards....and now, we are glad to have a great team (upper management) assembled right now because of our rocky past with the Hornets. Hoped that helped to explain why I'm a fan of a "nonexistant" team. Also, it's good to be a fan from the start! Looking forward to the start of the 2004-2005 season!!!!!!!!
Ok, so the Bobcats will start their era in the old hornets arena....makes sense to nme....when do they hope to het their new arena finished? By the way when will we see their jernseys?? I'M EXITED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Bobcats will move into their new arena in 2005. They are guarenteed the #4 pick in the first and second rounds. (For the 2nd Rd. I believe theirs is the 33rd overall)....anyway, we will get one of the following....Howard, Livingston, Deng, Nelson, Telfair, Reddick,......in the NBA Draft and a minimum of 14 other players from the other 29 teams come time for the X-Draft. The Bobcats will be an expansion team like no other in the history of the NBA........get ready.
