What can I say after a outting like the Raiders just had, the season is getting real painful to watch, matter a fact I was sitting there with few other loyal Raider fans watching the game, and the only thing I could come up with was to suggest to drink heavily. This week they play Car. in a game that should really bust the ratings! LOL!!!!
We stunk up the place, no doubt. Where was our defense? We played defense like the Chiefs, but without the offensive production. Bad, very bad. I can't stand to watch "No-Play" Ray Buchanon anymore, his tackling and his pursuit angles are akin to that of Anthony Dorsett or Marques Pope. Also, if Charles Woodson's hip is bothering him, then he needs to ride the bench until he gets healed. He's only hurting the rest of the team by playing at 50%. I was at the game in the endzone seats, with mostly Charger fans in my vicinity. As painful as that whole experience was, and after hearing several Chargers fans ripping the Raiders (and their fans) on talk radio today behaving as if they had just won the Superbowl, I would like to remind Charger fan that they still have a long way to go: 1) Since 1960, the Raiders still lead the series 54-33. 2) The Raiders still have 3 more Lombardi trophies than the Chargers do. 3) The Raiders will still have 3 more Lombardi trophies than the Chargers do after the Superbowl this season.
I agree with the Buchanon statement, I think I made a comment to Chip during the game about him. I also, like your little reminder. In a way though, to a lot of the Charger fans beating the Raiders is their Superbowl.
