I think a big key for George will be to score some points and carry some of the load like he did at the beginning of the year when the Lakers looked unbeatable. Malone will have a tough time scoring against TD, Payton will be chasing Parker all night, Kobe will have maybe the League's best defender on him. George must contribute offensively and Shaq must average 30+ points in this series for the Lakers to win IMO.
1. What do you feel the Spurs need to do to win this series? The Spurs need to rotate Rasho, Kevin , and Rose on O'Neal and make him work on both end of the floor. Shaq will have to play the pick on roll if not Tony and Manu are going to the basket and that will break down the Lakers defense one way or the other. Shaq will have to be tired down so we can exployed his weakness. no one can stop Shaq and kobe but no one can stop Tim , Tony and Manu so that will offset each other. If Kobe tries to play Bowen one on one just to prove that no one can stop him (just look above at Courtvision he know who is the best Defender name Bruce Bowen) that will play into our favor. 2. What advantages do the Spurs have over the Lakers and vice versa Spurs Tim, Tony and Manu and a great bench Lakers Shaq and Kobe 3. Whats your prediction? if I could make my prediction true it would be spur 4-0 but i can't so it may go spurs 4-2 i can't wait
I personally think Kareem Rush is the best option for guarding Parker. He's quicker than Payton, Fisher, and George and shouldn't have any trouble contesting the shots of a much smaller guard. I'm a bit concerned with his shot selection, though.
Spurs by 7, wins the game in 5 and sends the Lakers home crying yet again. Note let me add.. If it takes 2 Overtimes to beat a team and you have your 4 best players in and their 2 best is out.. Imagine what can happen in the playoffs...

I'm not saying the Spurs wont beat them, eventhough I believe the Lakers will win the series but it's just common sense.
I know that, but you still have to think about that, one game can make a difference, just like one point. They are going to have to stop Paker and Ginoboli to have a chance at winning.

The Lakers still won the series 3-1, eventhough I don't know how many Duncan was involved in those. You can't worry about games like that, it doesn't mean much. Look at us against Sacramento, we blew them out in the 1st quarter and carried that thoughout the game and it was a blowout. However, the next game it was just the opposite with Sacramento blowing the Lakers out. 1 game means nothing.
^True, true. I wish Karl Malone had the old Antonio Mcdyess athlectic ability. Ya'll ever seen Mcdyess guard Timmy before he went down with his injury? Antonio would alter every single shot or block it. Realisticly, all Malone can do is try to contain him as much as possible.

In the Lakers OT loss, TD and Parker didn't even play. The Spurs are a different team than in the beginning and middle of the season. They are peaking at the right time. The Lakers have to win atleast one game in SA to have a chance in this series. If they don't stop the Spurs momentum early, it could get ugly.

Remember, the Lakers won the series 3-1 and if my memory serves me right, Duncan only missed one of those games. But still, those games were a long time ago.

The Lakers won out of 4 and the 3 Lakers wins were all before December, we all know how different this Spurs team is now. THe last meeting, both teams were at full strength and the Spurs won at Staples Center. But like I have said before, throw those numbers out the window...its Playoff time.
