Just heard on Sportscenter Dolan was asked what players interest him most on the free agent market and he said he'd like to get Kobe Bryant. He said he didn't know Isiah Thomas's plans but he thought he could get him. He also went on to mention names like Tracy McGrady and Phil Jackson. These are all ridiculous ideas that will 99.9% not happen but it's good to know that the owner is thinking about these guys when Layden was offering trades for Eisley and Anderson. We are thinking big but we most likely wont get any of these guys. I hope that .1% proves me wrong though.
I doubt New York could get Kobe for starters. The only players that MIGHT interest The Lakers in a sign and deal would be perhaps Kurt Thomas since Slava is a free agent and Grant is likely to retire. Other than that I don't see anyone that LA could actually use, certainly they aren't interested in Alan Houston when you take into consideration his health, age, and contract. That's the only way New York could get Kobe Bryant, a sign and trade, and with no talent that LA would want, with no cap space, and with no picks to trade it would be EXTREMELY difficult to aquire Kobe. Besides, doesn't Kobe want to stay in California because of his Wife's family?
It's not going to happen. I doubt Kobe leave's the Lakers anyway. Tracy McGrady, there is a better chance, but Kobe, no way. Kobe is in the perfect situation right now. Plus, there is no money to give Kobe. Allan Houston is taking up all the cap room now.
The title seemed funny to me, you could simply probably put any name there as anyone would want or does want and wouldn't mind having him on their team. I think he could just be the ticket to make this team a monster threat. Starbury, 'Sheed, Kobe, they'd have their own big three.

The one element that is needed to win is a serviceable center at the very least, and no team expect the Bulls have been able to win championships without an able big man. The Knicks should look to bring in someone like Eric Dampier or Antoine Walker at the very least.

I really hope he doesn't go the NY. He isn't a center, he isn't a PF, he is more like SF to me. I don't think we need another shooter. Houston, Marbury, Thomas and Kurt Thomas all knock down jumpers. I would love for a Dampier. Someone who gets under the basket and gets putbacks, and rebounds, and all the dirty work.

What you said was true about needing a dominant center seeing as 'Sheed can't handle the blocking load. But about Walker, that was real funny, as funny as me saying Allen and 'Nique are good defenders. I also don't know why people think he's an awesome shooter, his jacking up 3's is useless, plus he's pretty bad at the charity line. I will admit though that he's a decent defender and good rebounder when he wants to be. He's big and tall and quite athletic like KVH, he even plays like him, bad shot selection, an occasional turnover machine. He'd fit in well off the bench though. How about going after Foster?
