This would be interesting to me to see what 50 would be chosen. I will start with some of the obvious. Jordan Magic Bird Malone Stockton Drexler Pippen Shaq Kobe Garnett Duncan Kidd Payton Hakeem Ewing Ok everyone else fill in. That is 15 obvious ones. Figured there was no deabte on any of those.
I can't believe you missed out The Admiral. If it was for all time....poor Wilt would've been up there.
I can't believe Pippen made it on your list and these did not... Charles Barkley Isiah Thomas Dominique Wilkins Then there is always these guys... Walter Davis Tom Chambers Bernard King Dennis Rodman (multiple champ and rebound king) Alex English Dikembe Mutombo Alonzo Mourning Some I may throw in if there was room... Kevin Johnson Mark Jackson Tim Hardaway Shawn Kemp Then we can even talk about modern day players... I'm sure I've missed many, continue posting
Scorbic added some good names I'll add a few Mitch Richmond Adrian Dantely Kevin Mchale James Worthy Moses Malone(still had about 9 all-star type seasons after 1980) Chris Mullin Reggie Miller Players to think about: Joe Dumars Mark Aguirre Buck Williams Zo I missed alot, so keep the list going. Maybe by the end we can come up with JBB top 50 after 1980(and rank em). And then make it a thread in the history section for more serious discussion.
Penny Hardaway (was a beast in the 90's) Grant Hill (Pre injury) Toni Kukoc (might not be one of the greatest players, but he was one of the most consistent and versatile players, just how many out there were able to play 4 positions?) Peja Stojacovick (sp?) David Robinson (surprised he hasnt been mentioned) Those are all i can think of from the top of my head right now.
<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Ben Wallace Baron Davis Steve Francis Stephon Marbury Chris Webber Lebron James Carmello Anthony</div> I can understand the others but I duno if I'd put Lebron and Carmelo on there quite yet. They're amazing players but I duno how they can be part of the 50 greatest when theyre just rookies and havent accomplished as much as other players... I'm not saying they wont accomplish more in the future though.
I can't believe no one mentioned the Glove. Payton, in my opinion, was the best point guard through the 90s, and continues to be a dominating presense.
Robert Parrish Adrian Dantley Drazen Petrovic Mitch Richmond Dennis Johnson and even though I hate him Bill Laimbeer
Latrell Sprewell Marcus Camby Stephon Marbury Penny Hardaway Sam Cassell Allan Houston Those are just a few i named off the top of my head, but their are a lot more out there. Whoever said LeBron and Carmelo is just dumb, 'Melo and 'Bron are talented but what have they accomplished in the NBA other than 41points in a game as a rookie and amazing stats?

<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Scoring titles my friend... Scoring Titles !!!</div> Your point is? This is the same guy that led his team to lose 19 straight.
