this guy basically said what i wrote previously... however i disagree with Yao being the top 5 player in this league.. Maybe to start a franchise, but not the top 5 best player in the league right now.

Elton Brand and Yao, two 1st pick overall on a same team. Maybe they can do some 3 team trade, or 4 team trade so they can kept Francis. Trade away Cato, Talyor, and Mobley, i dont know, Francis, Brand and Yao on a same team is sick.

It might be sick, but what will happen to our strategy of building around Yao? Brand would WANT his shots, and Yao NEEDS his shots, and Steve will GET his shots. Very good team indeed. That roster will blow up in less than 2 seasons.

Yao is in no shape or form better than Steve. Did he watch yao in the playoffs, the only thing he can do is shoot and on shorter people at that.

That guy is a baseball writer, I can't believe his opinion is getting respect on this forum... He says they got Weatherspoon in the offseason, OMG, does he even watch the games???

Brand, Francis and Yao on the same team?? Will never happen...

For some reason, I keep on thinking that a PF like Brian Grant would be perfect for this team...the man consistently gets you 10 pts/ 9 boards a game and even has a relaible 15-17 foot jumper...he plays hard nosed defense and never backs down, plus has valuable playoff experience...

Grant is just like Cato to me... Getting Grant is not the solution I don't think. We need a REAL PG.

Yea, i think the rockets need a real PG too. Maybe they can do some sign and trade for Steve Nash (Cato and Spoon for Nash), i know the Maricks fans will hate it but if Nash want to get money(something Mark Cuban does not have enough) why let Nash walk away, they can get some great defensive big guys from return.

Francis is still fairly young and still has potential left in him. I think if we trade him, we'd need to get a fairly young player in return, someone who will still give us a few years of reliable production. Take a look around the league and every PG worth trading Francis for doesn't fit this criteria. So I'm thinking that maybe Francis should be kept in Houston for at least one more season.
