It was about this time when I nearly choked on my Fruity Pebbles and spewed coffee out of my nose. Looks like Doc is again rewriting his role in Magic history.</div> Full Story
I'm glad he said that , good thing is Gabriel is not the GM anymore , pass Tony Parker are you kidding me? lol...
Who's right? Doc Rivers? The guy is a lying piece of crap. I'm with the columnist. Doc had just as much to do with those signings and draftees as Gabriel. I'm glad he's gone, I just wish we had a better coach right now. Get B.Scott, dammit!

But how is Doc gonna blame Gabriel for the Ben Wallace trade for Grant Hill. How was he suppose to know that Grant Hill wouldn't recover from his injuries. I know that wasn't a insane idea at that time. Especially after Grant Hill had his best year the season before the trade.
DOC RIVERS IF FULL OF IT. His breath probably stinks of it right now.. Gabriel said that Doc was the one who went after Sasser and persuaded Gabe to draft Sasser...Doc did all he could to try to get sasser...he even played him on the court 20 mpg..lmao... and now he is saying that Gabe passed on TParket..OMG>>>>>
Well I don't know what really happened but I really liked Doc lol at least more than JD... is that ZaZa in ur pic courtsidetv?

Its kind of funny how he comes out like this AFTER he gets the Celtic job. Too scared to call them out when he's unemployed.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting TMac_OwNz:</div><div class="quote_post">I'm glad he said that , good thing is Gabriel is not the GM anymore , pass Tony Parker are you kidding me? lol...</div> Well I don't think he should have been criticized for passing up Parker, and especially Tinsley. He wasn't the only one to pass on Parker, there were 26 other teams that passed on him too. Scouts didn't say anything about this guy and no one really talked about him because they weren't especially impressed by anything he did. Same with Tinsley, 25 other teams passed on him because they didn't see anything that special on him, or they would have picked him. If he should get criticized for that almost every other team who passed on him should have been too.
<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Its kind of funny how he comes out like this AFTER he gets the Celtic job. Too scared to call them out when he's unemployed.</div> Can you blame him? People are still blaming him for Orlando's troubles, even after he's clearly been shown to at least not be the sole reason. Someone else showed faith in him and that has to be reason to be outspoken. Screw the Magic. They backed John Gabriel when he was clearly the problem. Doc took his share of the blame and now that it's ok to give some back, coincidentally, where it's been EARNED, let him speak his mind.

Doc is a fantastic coach and I think he'll display it in Boston. Either way I think he's far superior to JD.
You can't blame Doc alone. Gabriel had his part in all of that too. The Magic are in the position that they're in now because of multiple people, not just Doc and Gabe.
