Congrats to him! KG was very fun to watch and of course earned it.

    Woohoo! Great job KG!

He deserves it very much. It would've been a travesty had Jermaine O'Neal, Peja Stojackovic, Tim Duncan, Baron Davis, or Kobe Bryant won it. Take that all you haters. KG won MVP!

    As in my sig:
Fishball (a Justbball member) says: "KG should finish third in MVP voting behind Peja this year"

I'm going to give Fishball a PM right now.

I'm angry that players other than KG were EVEN considered.

Yeah, that's true. The votes should come out tommarow and I bet anything he won by a lot for 1st place votes.

This was a no-brainer, The Big Ticket dominates anyone and everyone in his path. The T'wolves should go far this year.

    Good Job Kevin Garnett!

He led the league with most points scored and most rebounds. That is impressive.

Kevin Garnett is the man, he was the kid but no more now he's the man and he's got the award to prove it. KG deserved the MVP award more than anyone else in the league. KG is now the best current big man in the league according to me, yes even better than SHAQ.

KG simply dominated this year. No one else really should have been in consideration. I'm a big Duncan fan, but his production dropped off and so did the quality of his team, both detractors for an MVP-case. I think KG had it on lock down, as should anyone who leads the league in both total points and rebounds with over 5 assists per game to boot. That's simply amazing.

Who are "haters"? So far almost every post I've seen this season has said that KG should be MVP and will win it. No one has doubted that, and he was by far the MVP this season.

From last year I mean. All of Duncan's stats are lower than last year(scoring, rebounds, assists) and his team won fewer games. Granted, the fewer wins were due in part to having a weaker team, but its still a factor.

Congrats to KG he deserved the award, Duncan will just have to settle for the finals MVP.

No It's down to injures and only that, Spurs would of won the west had Duncan not been out so many games but Spurs do have a stronger team than last year, been telling to tell everyone that since pre-season.

You also can'y judge Duncan on purely stats, for one he isn't a stat-stuffer. Infact Pop doesn't allow Duncan to be in the game when the game is over unlike certain coaches.

Still, by your argument his stats should be up then. Since the Spurs won fewer games, they'd be in close situations more often, and thus Duncan would be in the game more, and thus his stats should be up.

I'm not saying he's not a good player, but his production did drop off this year, and the media looks at that when awarding MVP. If the Spurs had won 58 and Duncan had averaged 27-14-4 would he have won the MVP for the third straight year? I would say yes.

Spurs won fewer games purely down to early season chemistry problems and injuries. Spurs blew ALOT of teams out this year, mainly in the last 2/3 months of the season and Duncan rarely played alot of minutes during that time. Pop never leaves him in when the game is already decided. If Duncan wanted to average 27 points per game he could, but thats against what he believes in. Team play where the ball is shared around is the key to Spurs success, that won't ever change.

KG deserved the MVP award this year for many reasons. Duncan's play though never dipped, some fans like to think so..but people who saw today's game will know thats not the case.

Congrats. This man deserved it, he might not be one of my favorite players, but their is not doubt in my mind that there is anyother MVP in the league, what he did this year was amazing, this should bne his second MVP.
