I think he deserved it last year, first round flop or not. He single handedly carried his team. If you took him away from them, they would of been in the Lottery Draft.

Agreed, but I think KG could have put up 30 ppg easily, but that doesn't get him anywhere.

Thank you. Tim Duncan was the MVP last year, period. He won it hands down in my opinion.

And the Spurs wouldn't have been? Lets face it, without the superstars, those two teams would have been straight awful.

Duncan means just as much to the Spurs as KG to the Wolves.

There HAVE been people who said that Peja should win. Jermaine O'Neal. Freakin [IMG] Tracy McGrady.

I can't believe Peja got a first place vote and Tim Duncan didn't. Hmm I wonder if the Sacramento Bee's sports writer really knows basketball because I am sure that is the person who voted for him. And which idiot gave Garnett a third. i am guessing the same person. Really how was it not unanimous.

Alright, I don't want to start this again. I'm not the biggest KG fan, but i do respect him. He's a good player, a good leader, and he can pretty much do it all. But I think everyone involved or who watches the nba, has been riding this guys jock all year. I mean he put up good numbers, but the boy got 1,219 points, including 120 of 123 possible first-place votes, in balloting by the Pro Basketball Writer's Association. That means only 3 first place votes out of 123 went to someone other then KG. Now, this might add fuel to the fire, as all his fans will say that he was so great this year that he won overwhelmingly. But can everyone say that he was so much more valuable to the T-wolves then Duncan was to San Antonio, or even JO to the Pacers. I can't imagine the pacers puttin up the wins they did without JO. I know Minny wouldn't be that great without KG, but they did have Spree and Sammy, plus a good bench (yes i know they had injury trouble.) But all i can say is that its disgusting that he almost got all the first place votes. Its a slap in the face of Tim and JO. SHame on the voters.

It's not the voters fault that they think he deserves to be MVP but Tim Duncan didn't even get 1 vote out of the other 3 votes. He got 0 1st place votes. But KG got so many votes because they felt that he was truly the MVP. He brings the team great leadership, puts up unbeliveble stats every night consistently, etc. You could say that the if the Wolves didn't have KG, they would still have Spree and Sam and would have a good record but he gives them so much. He was always there for every game putting up great stats. A reason for why Tim and Jermaine didn't get so many votes would be, in my opinion, that they were once injured in the season and didn't play every game. Where KG played in every game that the Wolves played in.
But, Jermaine and Tim maybe Peja are all very valuable to their respective teams.

there was no way in hell anyone else should've won MVP. he should have gotten every single vote, nobody else compared to kg's play this yr. congratz KG!

Maybe KG shouldn't have won the MVP last year, but he sure is a lot more fun to watch than the former MVP Tim Duncan. Thank God Tim Duncan wasn't the MVP this year, that would have been a travesty. If he won and I died, the first question I would ask God is why does Tim Duncan win so many MVPs when he is so boring to watch. Timmy has no energy and he's just so plain. Maybe if he had some muscle definition, he would look better to watch but he doesn't so he still is junk to watch.
EXAMPLE OF TIM DUNCAN BEING JUNK TO WATCH:
Last year's NBA finals versus the Nets. One of the worst finals ever.

If you are looking for "strong good looking players" you are watching the wrong game.
