    real dream team
Center: Shaq (sorry Yao, you cant be the dominate one)
    Power Forward :Tim Duncan
    Small Foward :Kevin Garrnet (MVP)
Shoting guard:Kobe (there is nothing wrong with having the best cruch shotter in the nba right now)
Point Guard:Jason Kidd ( floor general, x-ray vision)
    bench
    Vince Carter (great dunker)
LeBron James (give the king some respect)
Allen Iverson (another harder working player)
    Tracy Mcgraty (scoring champ)
    Elton Brand (20 10 guy)
Ron Artest (punish those euros and make change their mind about going to the nba that early)
    Ben Wallace (defense wins)
Jermaine Oneal (best player from the best team)

^Are you saying that Yao should be on the US team or the dream team? If it was the first one.......

Artest probably won't get selected for the olympics, probably because of his past reputation or the fact that people still think he's a liability on offense. What a lot of people seem to not focus on is Ron's defense, we know or at least picture Euro's to be softies and most come out with a great guard on their team. Ron is one of the strongest players in the NBA if not the world that plays his position. I think he could shut down the star guard on any team in Europe.</div>
I think differently. Artest IMO has shed his reputation as a loose cannon and that is amplified by his DPOY. I think the biggest knock on Ron Artest is that he is a defensive player, which is not the truth. He plays both end of the floor and has a strong offensive game as seen in this playoffs. Ron would be a key piece on the US team for shutting down Euro small fowards. I don't know why he wasn't one of the first selections to go to Athens in the first place.

After the US went thrid palce in 2002. There was no question that next year they would be back strong. And what best way to do so by bringing in the leagues best players.

    Tracy McGrady
    Allen Iverson
    Tim Duncan
    Kevin Garnett
    Jason Kidd
    Shaquille O'Neal

It would'nt be easy for Ron Artest to make the list. They would have to go after the Superstars first then bring in the Star players like Ron Artest, Ben Wallace, Ray Allen etc... Sources from a recent article states that there are only 5 players that are certain to go to Athens in the summer.

    Richard Jefferson
    Allen Iverson
    Mike Bibby
    Tim Duncan
    Jermain O'Neal

    <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">There's a chance

Kenyon Martin. He was a fill-in last summer at the qualifying tournament, but he apparently has been bypassed ... for now.

Tracy McGrady. Stu Jackson, chairman of the selection committee, told reporters that he's "pretty confident" McGrady is in. At least one committee member, however, isn't so sure. McGrady, 26, could use a few months of R&R for his knees and back.

Shaquille O'Neal. If the Lakers are done by June, Shaq might grace the country with his presence. After all, it doesn't look like he would have to deal with Kobe as a teammate.</div>
