This is good news for Wizards fans, they have both Deng (if he sticks with his decision) and Livingston to choose from...hopefully

Livingston for Washington? I think the Wiz already have enough point guards to consider Livingston. Arenas, Blake, Dixon and even Hughes can play that spot for them. I'd say Livingston would likely be a Top 5 pick by a team that needs a PG, probably right after Deng.

Dixon is on the outs, he doesnt play the style EJ likes..Arenas is not a point guard, he is like Francis a combo guard, and he causes too many turnovers. We need a straight PG, Blake is not starter quality quite yet, and I think Livingston has much more promise than him. If we did draft Livingston...then Hughes would probably be on the outs.

Livingston is the prototypical new age NBA point guard. He's big and has a smooth rarely flawed game from what i've seen (accidental Sam Perkins reference). He made a good move draft position wise because I don't think a year more would get him any higher rated than he already is...but I'd still rather see guys play the college game. Oh well, best of luck to Shaun.

Not as good of a decision as i expected outta the guy. He should go to college he has very small delicate flaws that could cost him in the long run. Livingston is NBA ready in my opinion but a year of college wouldnt do him any harm.

How about he puts on weight, and becomes a top 2 or 3 pick? Plus, he would be able to contribute in the NBA quicker.

It's hard to say. What if he does not play up to his potential and gets labelled as a bust, and never play in the NBA? He's taking advantage while he's on top and that's a pretty smart move to me.

Best of luck to him. I met him once at Hardees and I was like WHOA and a lot of my friends didnt have a clue who he was, I was the only one in the entire place who recognized him.

Of course there is that risk, but that has been the situation with every college player. Of course I don't expect an 18 year old to pass up on a chance to be a top 5 pick and make millions.

I'm really happy that Deng has come into the NBA, as a fan, but also sad of it, as a person. He's such a great guy, a humble player with such skill. He could've been better had he stayed in college, guess he'll be getting his experience in the NBA. It's a shame, I wish he could've afforded it, but he couldn't, so I respect his decision. His welfare comes before his game. I understand.

As for Livingston, I think he should've played on, he had the opportunity to, the experience he would've gotten and improvement on his potential and established skills would've been increase, maybe not tremendously but still, any improvements would help. He's still going to kill in the NBA, I think he'll live up to being a high ranked draft pick. I would've taken the chance too, had I ever been offered one that is.

As a Duke hater, I'm pretty psyched to know that Deng AND Livingston most likely won't be showing up in a Blue Devils uniform next year.

Livingston weighs 180 at 6'7? Come again. I am 5'11 and stand at 169. His body is not NBA ready. Not even Euroleague ready. He is a super long term project like many in this year's draft. And I doubt he will ever be as good as young Penny Hardaway. He could have certainly benefitted from a couple of years in college. I don't get the rush to get to the pros so fast. Look at Carmelo. A year in college certainly didn't make him a lesser player.

Some players just have that body structure. Look at Tayshaun Prince and Pau Gasol. I've never seen two skinnier guys in my life, yet they are very successful in the NBA. Weight doesn't matter THAT much in the NBA when you are a point guard.

Actually, point guards have to be small to be successful in the NBA. They need less weight to be faster. Baron Davis, for example, was heavy but he slimmed down during the season, and had a career year.

I think its not a bad decision, he couldv'e went to college for like a year, but he seems to have the skill to enter the NBA next season, all he needs to do is put some flesh around those bones and it will even be better for him.

Which leads to another question: Which team do you think he will end up on?

I think the Bobcats will take Livingston just because the media is calling him the next Magic Johnson.. they need something like that to atract people , WAS should get Loul Deng or Dwight Howard to play at the SF spot...

If washington gets him (if It was me) I would move Arenas to the SG spot and Livingston a starter .. backup pg Blake..backup SG Hughes.. Keep Kwame and Etan...and this other guy I 4got his name but he is not old..and trade Stackhouse and others..

    PG - Livingston - Blake - Arenas
    SG - Arenas - Hughes
SF - that guy or other or 2nd round
PF - Kwame Brown and guy adquired on trade or signed..
C - Sign Mark Blount or another guy..or 2nd rounder plus Etan..

Looks pretty good to me...Still I would keep Arenas at the Point and draft Loul Deng..that 1 2 3 4 punch would be awesome..Arenas , Stackhouse-Hughes , Loul Deng , Kwame Brown...
