You are feel to think that way but without Shaq the Lakers would be lucky to hit 70 points against this Spurs team. Do you really want Kobe shooting 25+ shots a game while shooting sub 35-38%? I certainly wouldn't. As bad as Shaq looks and as bad as he is at the line. Lakers need him to even compete.

Its not so much Shaq hurting you, its about him helping you are not which he didn't do in Game 1. No way they win this series without Shaq. Phil is supposedly a great coach, he must make the adjustments.

<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Rudeezy:</div><div class="quote_post">Tim Duncan shot horribly from the line in game one but he doesn't even compare to Shaq at the free throw line.</div>

Duncan's a free throw shooting champ compared to Shaq...but as far as team free throw shooting goes, it really is a wash. San Antonio is 29th in the league while LA is 28th. Go figure. The only bright side is that LA's bad free throw shooting is attributed to one guy while San Antonio's free throw woes are atrributed to three guys, Duncan, Bowen, Ginobili. If Kobe can find a way to get to the line often enough LA should win the free throw battle...that could be the edge right there.

Absolute DOMINATION by the Spurs in the first quarter. I am really suprised. I thought the Lakers were come into game 2 strong. The Spurs are playing amazing defense and they are having their way on offense.

Tony Parker is unguardable. The Lakers simply have no answer for him. He has 16 points in the first quarter and the Lakers as a team have only 17!

The Lakers better get it together or this series will be over tonight.

    33-17 after one.

Spurs up by 19 with about 6 minutes to go in the first half...its getting ugly. I was going to stay for the second half but it doesn't look like it will be worth it.

The Lakers are playing from behind once again. I'm sure they will make a run to close out the half, and another run in the 2nd half. I just hope they can prevent the Spurs from having another 30 point quarter. They are allowing the Spurs to shoot 60% in this game, and the Lakers already have 7 turnovers. The Lakers are going to have to play flawless the rest of the way to pull out a win. Tony Parker is doing whatever he wants on the court.

I don't care if you love or hate the Spurs, you have to admit all the calls have been completely in favor of San Antonio. Kobe already has 3 fouls, and that foul he got on Ginobili was bull, he didn't even touch him. When he tried to tap it from Duncan he did hit him, but it was the hand and that's supposed to be "a part of the ball." We are playing pretty good offense by throwing it into Shaq every time, but every time Duncan has the ball he gets a foul on someone. I wouldn't mind if this wasn't so sided on the calls, but it's been rediculous.

Having one-sided calls is all part of the playoffs. The Lakers aren't playing aggressive enough, so they aren't going to get away with the ticky tack fouls. The Lakers defense is the reason they are losing, not the refs.

Well it's nice to see Shaq dominate the paint even though the rotations on his freethrows spin like a globe. Ya'll see that one play where Bowen had the most open shot in the history of the league. Nobody even remotely tried to get back. It look like a pick up game. Tony is just killing us.

The Lakers just have to keep dumping the ball to Shaq and hopefully find some kind of way to slow down Parker and Tim.

Dumb basketball again by the Lakers. The made a valiant comeback, but they refuse to learn they just don't have the consistency to play from behind against the Spurs. Shaq had a huge game offensively, but he stunk it up again on defense. His feet are cemented whenever he has to switch on defense. Got to give it up to the Spurs they simply won't let the Lakers take a lead, and they have made clutch shots and huge steals down the stretch of both games.

Stupid move to stop going to Shaq with over 6 minutes left in the 4th. I could understand if they stopped dumping it to him in the last 3 minutes, but he was dominant. I hate it when Fisher thinks he's hot stuff after hitting a shot, I noticed him take three dumb shots since he hit two in a row. Spurs are a great team though, the Lakers played great in the 3rd and still had a tough time trying to get back. The lack of consistency will kill you every time.

He was balling during the early part of the 3rd quarter, when he was getting Parker in the post area. But the Spurs started doubling, then they put Manu on him for awhile, so the Lakers stop going to GP in the post. And Parker was scoreless on the offensive end, during the time GP was attacking Parker with his own offense in the 3rd. Parker was still scoreless in the 2nd half late into the 3rd quarter. I think he got his 1st basket in the 2nd half around the 4:00 minute mark of the 3rd. GP has to keep attacking.
