<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Julius Erving is on the Raptors' radar.

Minority owner Larry Tanenbaum confirmed last night that the team will contact the hall of famer about a vacant front-office position, a move that would immediately boost the profile of the sagging franchise around the NBA.

"He's certainly someone we will be looking at," Tanenbaum said of Erving, one of the league's top 50 players of all time and one of the most electrifying athletes to play in the NBA.

Erving, a former executive vice-president of the Orlando Magic, has been keenly interested in a position with the Raptors since the end of the regular season, when the search for somebody to replace fired general manager Glen Grunwald began in earnest.

And while he has no experience in judging talent or obtaining players, his name still carries enormous weight around the league.</div><div align="center">Full Story</div>

^I'm not really bothered by Scott not being our coach. It was a known fact that his assistants ran the plays, not him. I feel that he is one of those coaches who needs a strong assistant to back him or he would be useless.

This is awesome, Dr. J would be a great addition, but the Raps will probably do something dumb. Listen to Vince, give Dr. J at least a interview. he would attract so many free AGENTS, HE COULD reall healp this team. I like this idea.

^I think Chuck Swirsky has 0 influence on the Raptors decisions in the front office. This is a guy who stated that Carter is the equivalent of Michael Jordan. If the front office listens to anything that comes out of his mouth....God save the Raptors
