They should've picked someone else or at least give the rookie more playing time so he can show people if he knows how to play the game. Foreigners...</div>

They dont' really need Carmelo right now. They have Tayshaun Prince who is a good SF. Darko is for the future. They have the time to spend on him to improve his game, and they can afford to have him sit the bench. Having a big 7'1" player, who can do it all will help Detroit so much. He is only 18, turning 19 soon.

It's irritating to see how the media is talking like Darko will become greatest player in history. They keep saying how the future is so damn bright for him, and that the sky's the limit for him. The truth is that Darko will become a good player, but not a superstar, or a franchise player, and he definitely won't be selected to the All-NBA Anniversary team.</div>

How do you know these things? He certainly can be a franchise player, and an All-Star.

I don't think the Pistons have time to invest on Darko. When they finished developing Darko, like I said, the team will NOT consist of the same good unit such as Billups, Hamilton, Rasheed, Ben, Okur, etc etc. This WAS the Pistons' year. Tayshaun Prince is not even close to how good Melo is. Why would you take a chance on such a long project like Darko and not take the SURE winner in Melo that could probably mean the difference between a conference finals exit and a championship ring this year? Possibly more years to come? I think Dumars effed up.
