Do you root for Malone?

    I was wondering what Jazz fans on this board thought about Karl Malone and the Los Angeles Lakers. Do you root for Karl to win a championship or do you root against him? I can not ever as a true Jazz fan ever want the Lakers to win anything. That is the main reason I am not rooting for the Mailman in this post-season. I personally like to see the Pacers win it, where Reggie can show the Mailman what loyality gets you. What is everyone's opinion?

    Loyalty and staying in Utah wouldn't have gotten Karl anywhere, They would have either been the 8th seed or not have made the playoffs at all.

    Well I moved to Utah a few months ago, and I have been a die hard Laker fan alll of my life. When I go to school in a Kobe jersey or Laker shirt I always get teased and people occasionally bring up the rape situation. So most people in Utah do not like the Lakers, especially now since Malone is on the Lakers. They call him names like "sell out" or "trader" and at the last Utah vs. Laker game I went to when they would show Karl on the big screen people would boo and call him names. But there are some people that are rooting for him to get his champoinship.

    Yeah, I'm rooting for him. Is not like while he was here, he didn't try to win a championship!!! He's just trying to get his. A lot of those haters are just clueless, there's a lot of them here though. I met him during RMR, he was pretty cool, he cheered and watched the Jazz rookies.

    I am bitter towards Malone and will be most likely for the rest of his career. Yeah, I know the good out weighs the bad, but I am still bitter lol

    Plus no way am I rooting for Malone to get a ring. That would be rooting for the Lakers to win the title and that will never happen lol

    I won't root for Karl Malone for 2 reasons
    1.He plays for the Lakers
    and
    2.He plays dirty

    I respect Karl Malone, he gave a lot to the Utah franchise. I'm not a fan of his decision to go to LA to pursue a championship, but I can understand why he did it as he would of been going nowhere in terms of getting a championship. As for getting a ring this season, I'm not to worried either way. But he definitely deserves one. I'm still a fan of his, and hope he plays well. But if he is to get a ring, he should of got it in Utah with John Stockton.
