<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">A week ago, he couldn't bend over enough to tie his shoes. On Sunday, Timberwolves swingman Wally Szczerbiak balanced his body on a stability ball in the team's practice-center weight room and lifted light dumbbells over his head. Sidelined for eight days because of three small fractured bones in his back, Szczerbiak could play against Sacramento if the second-round playoff series goes six or seven games, Wolves coach Flip Saunders said. Wolves reserves Michael Olowokandi and Oliver Miller didn't practice Sunday; both were at the doctor's office because of stomach illness. Starting center Ervin Johnson left practice after injuring his wrist. He was sent for precautionary X-rays, but Saunders said he expected Johnson to play in Tuesday's Game 1.</div> Link This is great news because the Wolves will really need Wally's energy and shooting touch off the bench. I hope he can contribute to the team after he comes back from injury, if the Wolves lose the series before he can come back, he won't but I know they will win. And Ervin injured his wrist but will play but that will be a concern. The Wolves have been plagued by injuries in the playoffs.
Yep, Ervin will still play though. And as of right now, he is playing pretty good. We will need Wally if we go that late.
The timberwolves need his shooting now. Sprewell as the jump shooter when they double Cassell & KG just isnt working. You cant have Sprewell & Hassell out there at the same time late in games when teams are doubling.
